Life Goes On...
Hello, Hii, Namaste,
And
Thank You!
Thank you for being part of this journey so far.
I know I missed the last two weeks, and this may be the only letter of November as well. So, let me get the best out of this.
As the title suggests, today’s letter might be too philosophical for some of us.
Could I share something personal about myself?
2023 makes it ten years since I have left my home. Initially, I left for my studies and then for my career. In a decade, many people came into life, joined the journey, been part of it for the time they were supposed to and left. While I was exploring cities, my family also figured out themselves and became the better and happier version.
Did I have a great time all along? Yes
Do I miss the older time? Yes
Do I miss the older me? Yes
Do I wish to be the older me? No?
You see, we often compare our older selves with the current ones. More than our older selves, we compare how easily and beautifully we might have enjoyed our lives in the past and how difficult it can become sometimes. On those nights, we muse. We reminisce about our older selves, looking at the older picture, missing the people left behind, missing the kid we had once in us.
Life Goes On…
We are not talking about being heartless or not having attachments with people. In fact, falling in love with people and places and having attachments only make us humans. Have them! Get your hearts broken. Deal with them. Live with them, and then one fine day, make a step forward and the next day, one more.
Let’s keep walking forward. Let’s not wait for life to happen to us. Life will only happen if we are walking, walking forward. It will be challenging, but we can try!

But How Does One Try?
The Positive Mindset
No doubt, we all figure out our lives in one way or the other. But let not the challenges push us back. Let’s have a positive mindset about life. Instead of calling it a painful and challenging journey, we could cherish life for what it is known for – love, joy, and happiness. ?
Experience Builds Us
Let’s not forget the journey we have been through. It might have some of the mistakes we can look upon, some lessons we can learn from, some brave moments we can cherish ourselves for and some memories just to ponder upon on random evenings.
Be The Driver
As they say, if you don’t control the ride of your life, someone else will. And if not someone else, circumstances will. Let’s take responsibility. Maybe we can start with taking care of ourselves. I know it is easier said than done. But could we at least try??
When someone says life goes on, it doesn’t mean life has to go on. Life will stop, and you will find yourself at the same place you were a decade back. But that is not how we get the best out of life. Life gives you the best when you live every day as if there is something new to know, something new to cherish.
Today’s letter was just about how I have been making a move ever since, and life has rewarded me with everything I could ask for. Maybe, we all can just believe in life and ourselves a bit more – who knows, we all will have – a roof and our loved ones around, having dinner together very soon.
Here’s a beautiful song for you, Capable of Everything and a movie you shouldn’t miss, Past Lives.
I shall see you around, guys. Till then, I wish you all a very Happy Diwali! May god bless us with the best we deserve and more than that!
Take care of yourself and get yourself a new dress to wear on Diwali.
