Life

Life comes from God

Life comes from the breath of God

(Gn 2:7) “From the dust of the ground” implies that there is nothing fancy about the chemical elements making up our bodies. The body is a lifeless shell until God brings it alive with “His breath of life.” When God removes his life giving breath, our bodies once again return to dust. Therefore, our life and worth come from God’s Spirit. Many boast of their achievements and abilities as though they were the originator of their own strengths. Others feel worthless because their abilities do not stand out. In reality, our worth comes not from our achievements but from the God of the universe, who chooses to give us the mysterious and miraculous gift of life. Value life, as he does.

(Jn 20:22) God’s first breath made man different from all other forms of creation. Now, through the breath of Jesus, God impacted eternal, spiritual life. With this inbreathing came the power to do God’s will on earth.

How to find “real” life

(Dt 8;3) Jesus quoted this verse when the devil tempted him to turn stones into bread (Matthew $:4). Many people think that life is based on satisfying their appetites. If they can earn enough money to dress, eat, and play in high style, they think they are living “the good life.’ But such things do not satisfy our deepest longings. In the end they leave us empty and dissatisfied. Real life, according to Moses, comes from total commitment to God, the one who created life itself. It requires discipline, sacrifice, and hard work, and that’s why most people never find it.

Using it more wisely.

(Ps 90:12) Realizing that life is short helps us use the little time we have more wisely and for eternal good. Take time to number your days by asking, “What do I want to see happen in my life before I die? What small step could I take toward that purpose today?

God’s ability to restore it.

(Ps 126:5-6) God’s ability to restore life is beyond our understanding. Forests burn down and are able to grow back. Broken bones heal. Even grief is not a permanent condition. Our tears can be seeds that will grow into a harvest of joy because God is able to bring good out of tragedy. When burdened by sorrow, know that your times of grief will end and that you again will find joy. We must be patientas we wait. God’s great harvest of joy is coming.

How we waste ours.

(Ps 144:3-4) Life is short, David reminds us that it is “like a breath” and that our “days are like a fleeting shadow.” James says that our lives are “a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes” (James 4:14). Because life is short, we should live for God while we have the time. Don’t waste your life by selecting an inferior purpose that has no lasting value. Learn to Love God – He alone can make your life worthwhile purposeful and meaningful through “shared love.”

The best way to enjoy life.

(Mt 10:39) this verse is a positive and negative statement of the same truth, clinging to this life may cause us to forfeit the best from Christ in this world and in the next. The more we love this life’s rewards (leisure, power, popularity, financial security), the more we will discover how empty they really are. The best way to enjoy life, therefore, is to loosen our greedy grasp on earthly rewards so that we can be free to follow Christ. In doing so, we will inherit eternal life and begin at once to experience the benefits of following Christ.

Why yours must be filled with God?

(Mt 12:43-45) Jesus was describing the attitude of the nation of Israel and the religious leaders in particular. Just cleaning up one’s life without filling it with God leaves plenty of room for Satan to enter. The book of Ezra records how the people rid themselves of idolatry, but failed to replace it with love for God and obedience to Him. Ridding our lives of sin is the first step. We must also take the second step, filling our lives with God’s Word and the Holy Spirit. Unfilled and complacent people are easy targets for Satan.

Which life is most important to you.

(Mt 14:35-36) The people recognized Jesus as a great healer, but how many understood who He truly was? They came to Jesus for physical healing, but did they come for spiritual healing? They came to prolong their lives on earth, but did they come to secure their eternal lives? People may seek Jesus to learn valuable lessons from his life or in hopes of finding relief from pain. But we miss Jesus whole message if we seek him only to heal our bodies but not our souls, if we look to Him for help only in this life, rather than for His eternal plan for us. Only when we understand the real Jesus Christ can we appreciate how He can truly change our lives.

(Lk 9;24-25) if this present life is most important to you, you will do everything you can to protect it. You will not want to do anything that might endanger your safety, health, or comfort. By contrast, if following Jesus is most important, you may find yourself in unsafe, unhealthy, and uncomfortable places. You will risk death, but you will not fear it because you know that Jesus will raise you to eternal life. Nothing material can compensate for the loss of eternal life. Jesus disciples are not to use their lives on earth for their own pleasure – they should spend their lives serving God and people.

What it means to live life abundantly.

(Mk 8:36-37) Many people spend all their energy seeking pleasure. Jesus said, however, that a world of pleasure centered on possessions. Position, or power is ultimately worthless. Whatever you have on earth is only temporary, it cannot be exchanged for your soul. If you work hard at getting what you want, you might eventually have a “pleasurable” life, but in the end you will find it hollow and empty. Are you willing to make the pursuit of god more important than the selfish pursuit of pleasure? Follow Jesus, and you will know what it means to live abundantly now and to have eternal life as well.

What you put into it is more important than what you get out of it.

(Acts 20:24) We often feel that life is a failure unless we’re getting a lot out of it, recognition, fun, money, success. But Paul considered life worth nothing unless he used it for God’s work. What he put into life was far more important than what he got out. Which is more important to you – what you get out of life, or what you put into it.

Life is short no matter how long you live.

(Jas 4:14) Life is short no matter how many years we live. Don’t be deceived into thinking that you have lots of remaining time to live for Christ, to enjoy your love d ones, or to do what you know you should. Live for god today! Then, no matter when your life ends, you will have fulfilled God’s plan for you.

All lasting Life emanates from Him. People search for life in many wrong ways; chasing after fleeting pleasures, accumulating possessions and wealth, trying to deny the inevitable effects of aging. Meanwhile, He freely offers abundant Life to everyone who turns toward Him. As you come to Me and take My Yoke upon you. He fills you with His very Life. This is how He chooses to live in the world and accomplish His purposes. This is also how He blesses you with joy unspeakable and full of Glory. The Joy is His, and the Glory is His; but He bestows them on you as you live in your Shared Love, inviting Him to live fully in you.

Love Who You Are

He loves you for who you are, not for what you do. Many voices vie for control of your mind, especially when you sit in silence. You must learn to discern what is His voice and what is not. Ask His Spirit to give you this discernment. Many of His children run around in circles, trying to obey the various voices directing their lives. This results in fragmented, frustrating patterns of living. Do not fall into this trap. Walk closely with Him each moment, listening for His directives and enjoying His Companionship. Refuse to let other voices tie you up in knots.

Overflowing Abundance

He is a God of both intricate detail and overflowing abundance. When you entrust the details of your life to Him, you are surprised by how thoroughly He answers your petitions. He takes pleasure in hearing your prayers, so feel free to bring Him all your requests. The more you pray, the more answers you can receive. Best of all, your faith is strengthened as you see how precisely, He responds to your specific prayers.

Because He is infinite in all His ways, you need not fear that He will run out of resources. Come to Him in loving expectations of receiving all God feels you need – and sometimes much more than you expected. Come to Him with open hands and heart, ready to receive all He has for you.

Mine for all time

Nothing can separate you from His Love; except Your rejection. But rest assure, since He has invested His very Life in you, He will also work on getting you back. When your mind goes into neutral and your thoughts flow freely, you tend to feel anxious and alone. Your focus becomes problem solving. To get your mind back into gear, just turn toward Him, bringing yourself and your challenges into your Shared Love.

Many problems vanish instantly in the Light of His Love, because you realize you are never alone. Other problems may remain, but they become secondary to knowing Him and rejoicing in the relationship He so freely offers you. Each moment you can choose to participate in your Shared Love or to love your challenges.

No Guidance

When He gives you no special guidance, stay where you are. Concentrate on doing your everyday tasks in awareness of His Shared Love with you. The joy of your Shared Love will shine on you, as you do everything for Him. Thus you invite Him into every aspects of your life. Although collaborating with Him in all things you allow His life to merge with yours. This is the secret not only of joyful living but also of victorious living. He designed you to depend on Him moment by moment, recognizing that apart from Me you can do nothing.

Be thankful for quiet days, when nothing special seems to be happening. Instead of being bored by the lack of action, use times of routine to get to know Him better. This will speak volumes in the spiritual world. Moreover, you are richly blessed when you walk trustingly with Him through the routines of your days.

Heaven is both present and future.

As you walk along your life-path holding His hand, you are already in touch with the essence, of heaven; nearness to Him. You can find many hints of heaven along your pathway, because the Earth is alive with Shared Love. It awakens your heart, gently reminding you of His love. Birds and flowers, trees and skies evoke praises to His holy Name. Keep your eyes and ears fully open as you journey with Him.

At the end of your life-path is an entrance to heaven. Only He knows when you will reach that destination, but He is preparing you for it each step of the way. The absolute certainty of your heavenly home gives you Peace and Joy, to help you along your journey.

God’s Path

You are on the path of choosing. There is no randomness about your life. Here and Now provide the coordinates of your daily life. Most people let their moments slip through their fingers, half-lived. They avoid the present by worrying about the future or longing for a better time and place. They forget that they are creatures who are subject to the limitations of time and space. They forget their Creator and Controller, who walks with them only in the present.

Every moment is alive with your Shared Love, to those whose hearts are intimately connected with Him. As you give yourself more and more to a life of constant loving Him, you will find that you simply have no time for worry.  Thus, you are freed to let His Spirit to direct your steps, enabling you to walk along the path of Peace.

When You approach Him

In stillness and in trust, you are strengthened. You need a buffer zone of silence around you in order to focus on things unseen. Since He is invisible, you must not let your senses dominate your thinking. The curse of this age is overstimulation of the senses, which blocks out awareness of the unseen world.

The tangible world still reflects His Love, to those who have eyes that see and ears that hear. Spending time alone with Him is the best way to develop seeing eyes and hearing ears. The goal is to be aware of unseen things even as you live out your life in the visible world.

Stay With Him

On the High Road. Many voices clamor for your attention, trying to divert you to another path. But He has called you to walk ever so closely with Him, soaking in your Shared Love, living in His Peace. This is His unique design for you, planned before the world began.

He Has called each of His children to a different path, distinctly designed for that one. Do not let anyone convince you that his path is the only right way. And be careful not to pronounce your path as superior to another’s way. What He requires of you is to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with Me – wherever I lead.

Now that we have taken a look at how your life should have been impacted, let us take another look at the path you need to follow.
