Life is not entirely in it's duration but in it's donation

I know this might seem controversial and before you go for my jugular in the similitude of a leopard holding a firm grip on a gazelle's neck, I will explain my assertion below.

As a Christian who believes in long life with emphasis on (Psalm 91:16), I firmly believe in living life to a ripe full old age but of what essence is a life lived to satisfy personal desires without reckoning with the purpose God has placed in each of us?

I can recall one of Myles Munroe's books THE PRINCIPLES AND POWER OF VISION, where he mentioned the phrase "Die Empty" which translates to "unleashing all God has deposited in us for the benefit of mankind and the glory of God". I.e. living a purpose-driven life.

This pops up a question, what would you be remembered for? Although this is not to live for the approval or applause of men, it is a call to live an impactful life that leaves a footprint on the sands of time.

If we live each day as if it were our last, someday we'll be right, this is a true reality whether we choose to accept it or not. Doing this will help us to prioritize our activities.

Dear Champ??, strive to make an indelible impact in people's lives daily, it could be as little as a word of encouragement, helping out financially, or giving your listening ears to people.

This drive made me give back to my Alma mata Federal University Oye-Ekiti Nigeria especially because of my love for the undergraduate Community by organizing a Meet and Greet Session where I spoke extensively to 25+ students on the topic "Intentionality" as it relates to maximizing your stay as a student, applying for relevant opportunities and attaining academic excellence on campus.

I used the biblical analogy of Elisha who in the pursuit of receiving the double portion of Elijah's anointing, overcame challenges, the taunting of men, imbibed resoluteness and unwavering focus, grit and resilience which clearly explains the need to be intentional the pursuit of one's goals or grand vision.

It was such an amazing time to reconnect with bright students from FUOYE such as Samuel Sodunke Sarah Adeyemo Olanrewaju Fatoye Laughter Atanda Adebayo John and many more.

Dear Champ??, Life is like a fickle/vapour, what matters in the end is the fulfillment of God's purpose and the impact we made in the lives of men.

Dear Champ??, Strive to leave an indelible impact on the lives of others no matter how little. Mephibosheth enjoyed the good deeds of his father (Jonathan) from David the reigning king after Jonathan was long gone.

Dear Champ??, Who would be grateful for your existence?

Dear Champ??, What would you be remembered for? Remember our legacy is the summation of our daily choices, and choose to do the right things.

Note: This is not in any way a suicidal thought, it is just an avenue to re-evaluate our lives and live purposefully.

On this note, I wish myself a Happy Birthday?????? cheers to doing more for God and humanity.
