Life-Energy Saving Activities

Let's talk about creative imagination in this article, and explore the benefits of doing it.

These days, there are concerns regarding disruptions, energy sucking activities, and stress. The reasons for them is multi-fold, but in general, the amount of content that we consume and the notifications we get in our computers and our smartphones is a major reason.

Many yoga practitioners and researchers have expressed findings that reducing the eye activity (note: we generalize this as screen-time, but it's not just the screen-time) can have significant benefits in saving the life energies that we have. I have already talked in one of my other articles about how closing the eyes saves life energies, and makes us more aware and more energetic.

This might surprise you - as we all tend to think that being active, engaged, and using our eyes is what energetic means. Physically, for a short while, it can be, but ultimately, in a long run, it sucks the life energies out of us and make us feel tired, and even stressed out.

This is a reason why we need to explore how to engage in life-energy boosting activities. Avoiding eye activity and focusing on one thing at a time (however miniscule the activity might be) are a couple of things that will increase the energy levels. Mind-eye-body coordination when we doing something is another major factor. This not only increases our focus on what we do, but also prevents inadvertent mistakes and accidental actions that could result in failures, personal injuries, and loss/breakage of physical material.

For energy-boosting, I would recommend meditation, Hatha Yoga, and Kriya (Breath) Yoga practices. As far as possible, keeping the mind shut when no active thinking is necessary, and being with oneself by shutting down everything else and closing the eyes are great life energy boosters.

As an addition, involving in creating writing, art, and letting the imagination flow to build something like a story or a poem also enhances life energy juices.

Life energies are so important for how we live. Hopefully these tips might help you in taking care of yourselves.
