Life at CONMED - Virtual Recruitment Events

If you are interested in furthering your career journey, but you are not sure what company or industry would be the best fit, it can be tricky to decipher this from a LinkedIn page, job posting, or website. CONMED believes in the power of engaged talent and saw a need in the market to provide opportunities for passive and active candidates to engage and network with leaders and peers in the medical device industry. This is why we started our Virtual Recruitment Event series: Life at CONMED!

Our interactive, virtual events provide an opportunity for candidates to learn more about CONMED, meet the leadership team and peers currently in the role, and participate in a live question-and-answer session. We offer events in a variety of areas of the organization such as sales, marketing, IT, Supply Chain, Human Resources, and many more! We host a variety of different event formats as well from smaller, more intimate events that are regionally focused, to national events with 200+ attendees.

We enjoy seeing talented individuals attend, participate, network, and eventually join the CONMED team! See below for two of our fantastic team members who accepted roles at CONMED after attending an event.

“My experience with CONMED started at a virtual recruitment event. As I near my 1-year anniversary as a product manager here, I have to say that event was a great intro!

Even though I applied to and now work in a marketing function, the first event I attended was for orthopedics sales. What I heard over and over again from the employees presenting was how much leadership cared about them as people. They talked about their own development opportunities, about their relationships with their immediate managers, and about company efforts to keep them on interesting & challenging tasks. Those intangibles go beyond any one work function because they speak to a great culture.

“Last year, I was looking to take my career focus back to the surgical arena. Having been an OR Nurse, and in the medical device industry for many years, CONMED was a company I knew of. In my LinkedIn search for job opportunities within CONMED, what stood out to me initially was their Virtual Recruiting Events. I decided to attend one to learn more about the people, and the positions that were open because the virtual event was a casual, less formal opportunity to hear about openings. Within the first few minutes I knew I was going to apply for the role because of the people who were speaking during the call. There were multiple marketing individuals, recruiters, as well as the VP of Marketing, and that told me that these people cared enough about their organization, and potential future coworkers, that they took time out of their evening to speak to candidates. What also came through on the call was how much passion these CONMED employees had about the organization and the opportunities they had been given. Their authenticity, career experience, diversity, and team mentality were palpable even through the video call. I connected with a few people on LinkedIn that evening and applied for a marketing position for Smoke Evacuation in Advanced Surgical. The recruiters were so helpful throughout the interview process, and everyone I interviewed with had a true passion for finding the right person for the role and growing their talent within CONMED. A few people who weren’t even involved with the interview process reached out to speak with me. I am happy to say that because of that event, I have been an employee with CONMED for just over a year, and I couldn’t be happier with how it all worked out!”
