Life is Complicated

Occassionally we encounter a film that stirs strong emotions and is extraordinary for the quality of its storytelling. That is the case with "Nothing But The Truth". I'll let Roger Ebert give the main critique. However, I want to emphasize that the characters are all "doing their job". And that is where the dilemmas occur. It is hard to understand and appreciate how other person's realities affect their actions. Which can lead to tragic consequences.
At first the story seemed to focus on the reporter Rachel Armstrong. Soon other people are introduced with their conflicting roles and responsibilities. The balance in presenting each person's perspective is awesome. You feel each person's sense of frustration and entrapment one by one. And the story rolls on with one baffling question - is Rachel truly that honorable and why? And then comes the conclusion. Wow!
