Life Chapter - 2

Being a New Year, it’s always a good time to give yourself a break and take the time to decide what you actually want to do, and what you feel you ought to do. Whatever the past time or our previous goals, already most of us will have given up on one or two of our plans. But if you feel like putting your feet up, don’t give yourself a hard time. Go easy and set goals that are achievable.

Here are few simple rules that you give yourself for every chance of success.

  1. Reflect back - What has been working or what hasn’t yet? Reviewing a yearly situation can give you a clear assessment and it will help you to draw some conclusions about what you need to improve.
  2. Set your goals - This time, make it specific and realistic with an action plan. For example, “I want to be healthier” but instead “I want to exercise more”. However, doing an exercise is not your goal. Your goal should actually be “losing 5 pounds in a month or something”. Once setting up, you can start into small steps with short deadlines.
  3. Don’t make the same intentions twice without changing your strategy - Let’s think about why do we keep failing year after year? It’s very simple; We don’t change the habits that destroy us. We normally act the same way without learning from our previous failures. So we need to analyze why we did not succeed for the first time and change ourselves with the effective strategy.
  4. Keeping a dairy - Writing down your goals does not totally help you to complete the plans. But it allows you to record your journey with its up and downs. Whenever you review your dairy, you can appreciate your effort which encourages you until the goals are accomplished.
  5. Invest in your best and make a purpose - Love yourself and start strong, stay brave, and live well no matter what happens. It’s not about being selfish… it’s indispensable for living your best life and believe in yourself. Make a purpose for doing something, the more passionate you become and the more you discover your mission.
