A Life-Changing Mission
I decided to tell you about my personal story, and about the mission that changed my life. So, follow up with it, because each part has something to tell.
A friend's proposal that made me rethink all over again...
A couple of years ago, I was working as a Warehouse Supervisor at Mondelez International Inc. (Kraft Foods Inc.) In that role, I was working on implementing the ISO 22000 Food Safety Management, and ISO 14000 Environmental requirements as well as performing audits on wholesalers.
I also managed the reception, transfer, and dispatching of raw materials as well as finished goods. Being a shipment supervisor for local import and export was also one of my tasks.
It was a daily routine job like any other with a fixed salary at the end of each month.
In that period of time, a friend of mine known as Pierre Saber got in touch with me. Back then, he was working as a Unit Manager in MetLife. He explained to me about his mission, it was to protect people’s financial life, their income, loved ones, businesses, and much more. After that, he asked me to join his team.
Meanwhile, I was about to have my first child, I had to think about his future, what risks I’d be putting on raising this family if I ever join Pierre’s team. I was really hesitant to make my decision. But that was due to the lack of knowledge in Pierre’s field of work as well as its actual purpose.
So, I decided to dig deeper into this matter before taking a final decision. I had to sit down, do my research and figure out if this mission was worth making a sacrifice and taking the risk.
To be continued….
