Life at Bitt with Akil Walton
Hi, I'm Akil Walton, and I'm a Product Associate at Bitt.
In my role, I work collaboratively with the Project and Product Managers to track the progress of metrics identified by the executive team, create weekly performance reports per client, liaise with other departments on product queries and bugs, as well as assist with training clients and sharing product updates and features with other departments.
I manage a calendar of activities to ensure relevant communication and action items are conducted in a timely manner and that deadlines are met. I develop and manage project documents, conduct product demonstrations with existing and prospective clients, and provide other project management and administrative support to the project team as needed.

My day begins with working on performance reports to be shared with clients. Then, I run through my inbox and work chats to answer and assist others across the company as needed. Sometimes a quick 15 to 30 minute call is required. I also attend developer team 'stand-ups' to be updated on the statuses of various feature requests. The days then run into client and internal meetings, with documentation editing.
I joined the team in the summer of 2018, as an mMoney Agent, before moving into operations support in 2020. From there, I became an Account Manager in May of 2021. Based on my performance in the role, coupled with my initiative and interest in product development, I was quickly promoted to Product Associate in August of 2021.
Working at Bitt has granted me the opportunity to accelerate my growth as a professional and individual by working alongside such accomplished, focused, and self aware individuals. Bitt has also allowed me to live out my quest for travel as I have visited and worked from several countries in North and Latin America over the past year.
