"Life Begins"
Life begins when death leaves a clue
Riddles are made to break the soul in two
Leftovers are discarded where markers are kept
Visions will burn once the fires have wept
Man and woman are now sharing their eyes
Each thought is ignored their sins justified
An acorn begins a life that fell from a tree
The water is empty so the tears cannot see
Life can corrupt when all living is done
Death is the traveler taking light from the sun
A drop of blood traded for an ounce of gold
The auctioneer’s on sale if nothing is sold
Words are written on headstones to remember the past
Clues are buried alive for life will never last
Waiting to take a breath or doomed to suffocate
The children stand in line waiting to choose their fate
The road is now open to walk through the night
Those chains are holding down any hope of light
What is held to the past the flowers start to die
The circle begins when life says goodbye
Death takes away when life leaves souls blue
Falling through silence into the ground with a view
