The link above brings you to the working group which got set up and you are invited to join in. Hopefully we'll have great discussions while the methodology evolves.

Introduction

We are the creators of our life satisfaction and impact. Ownership, focus and competencies are required to get and stay successful.

“Balance is the mother of Mastery”.

It’s about personal balance first; only once we are in harmony with our dreams and capabilities, we have the stability and energy to progress on any subject matter in an efficient and sustainable manner. Simplicity, clarity and peace of mind will be the governing dimensions of how we think, act and live.

Mastery without personal balance is fragile and not sustainable.

Family education and school curricula are addressing the baseline competencies to some degree, but there is no integrated competency development “brought to us”. As individuals we are all different, and need to elaborate our own priorities and course of action in life. Grounded on the insights we gained already, some nudges, tips and practical support will assist us to take the destiny in our hands.

Our lifespan depends to 70 – 80 % on our lifestyle, behaviour and living environment; only about 20 – 30 % are genetically conditioned. I.e., also from that perspective it’s advisable to take ownership.

Perfectionism, fragmented approaches, and superman mentality are not supportive to achieve the life balance needed; instead the balance of relevant life factors, grounded on personal values and beliefs, do matter. Balance relates to our inner state, as well to our interconnectedness to the environment surrounding us.

Social constructs like family, neighbourhood, town, county, and nation, are dependent on life balance of individuals; i.e., the better individuals can be in and keep their balance, the stronger, more prospering and sustainable the named social constructs can be. As such, personal life balance is a key factor for social stability and economic prosperity. In Germany, Europe and globally we learned various lessons to this respect in recent years.
