Life at BAAP: Journey of Ms. Yasmeen Chowdhary

Yasmeen Chowdhary has been serving as the Team Lead for Software IT Projects at The BAAP Company for the past two years. With expertise in backend development, Yasmeen specializes in Java, driving innovation and leading her team to success in complex technical endeavours.

Yasmeen completed her schooling and Master’s in Computer Applications from Mumbai. Her journey into the world of IT began in 2012 when she met Raosaheb G. , the Founder and CEO of The BAAP Company, as they both joined QUADRANT4 on the same day. Yasmeen started as an intern, while Mr. Rao assumed the role of her team lead. This marked the beginning of Yasmeen’s career in technology. Over the next five years, they worked closely together, with Mr. Rao offering unwavering support and mentorship, guiding her through the evolving IT landscape. Yasmeen values Mr. Rao's role not only as a mentor but as a visionary, whose belief in her potential played a pivotal role in shaping her professional growth.

During her time at QUADRANT4, Yasmeen had the opportunity to explore diverse technologies. She worked on projects involving cutting-edge tools like Cassandra and MongoDB—technologies that are now at the forefront of the industry. Mr. Rao instilled in her the importance of versatility in the tech world, encouraging her to explore various fields such as UI development, backend engineering, and database clustering. This broad experience helped Yasmeen become a well-rounded IT professional, capable of adapting to the ever-changing demands of the industry. Together, Yasmeen and Mr. Rao were instrumental in creating custom solutions and client-based products that contributed significantly to the company’s success.

In 2017, Yasmeen moved on from QUADRANT4 and joined Citius Tech Healthcare. There, she balanced dual roles as a team lead and a developer, further refining her skills. As an independent coder, Yasmeen always valued personal autonomy in her work, but her leadership position at Athena Tech taught her the power of collaboration and teamwork for greater efficiency. She consistently avoided career breaks, driven by her passion for her work.

When Mr. Rao launched The BAAP Company two and a half years ago, he sought trusted professionals to help bring his vision to life. Yasmeen, one of his most trusted allies, was invited to join the new venture as a Java Developer. The opportunity excited her, not just because of the vision Mr. Rao had for the company, but also because it marked a significant change in her life. She moved away from Mumbai to join BAAP Company’s new initiative in a remote location, a challenge she embraced wholeheartedly.

Yasmeen witnessed the company’s growth from the ground up, contributing to the creation of world-class software solutions for international clients. On the inauguration day of BAAP Company, Yasmeen was both awestruck and inspired by the overwhelming turnout. The event proved to her that Mr. Rao’s vision was not only bold but achievable, as the company thrived in an unexpected location. This experience further fueled Yasmeen’s dedication to the company’s mission: to develop top-tier software and provide education and career opportunities for young talent. As of now, Yasmeen and Mr. Rao are working in unison to transform BAAP Company into a model of excellence, achieving their shared dream of empowering India's future tech leaders.

Beyond her professional life, Yasmeen enjoys reading fictional novels, particularly the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling, and exploring Japanese manga and anime in her leisure time. This balance of hard work and personal passion keeps her inspired, focused, and ready to take on new challenges in both her professional and personal life.

As Yasmeen continues her journey with The BAAP Company, she remains committed to fostering innovation, empowering others, and contributing to a brighter future for both the company and the tech community in India.
