Life 2.0

I wrote a book titled “Life 2.0”, subtitled “A Journey from Near Death to New Life.”

My belief all along was that the manuscript would be something I passed down through my family. Near the end of 2019, an N.Y. publisher reviewed my work and decided they would like to publish the book as part of their 2020 line-up. Given my passion for paying it forward by raising awareness as far and wide as possible, I decided to pursue its publication.

Life 2.0 is a story, but less about what I endured and more about the circumstance by which I found out I was near a highly probable fatal event, without warning, and the monumental impact caregivers, clinical and non-clinical, had on the formation of my new life, Life 2.0. I now see life and business through an entirely different lens. I am humbled every day by observing the goodness, value, and relevance of others and have concluded that nobody Is truly a stranger.

Like many of you, my life and career were going great; I felt perfect! I had no health concerns, symptoms, or issues of any kind. My career was in full swing, and I was very successful due to the hard work and dedication I put into it. Simply put, I felt great about how life was going. Little did I know my perfect life was the calm before the storm. This storm is analogous to a category five hurricane heading straight toward me, on the verge of killing me and leaving my family crippled financially and emotionally.

I believe, by the grace of God, I am alive today and living what I have coined “Life 2.0”, and want to share this story in hopes that something about it may inspire you or others you know in a positive way.

Book Summary

Life 2.0 – is a divinely inspired account of my physical, emotional, and spiritual transformation from unknowingly being near sudden death to living a life I never imagined possible— Life 2.0.

One day, while leaving a routine doctor’s appointment, I ask my doctor a simple question, one that would later prove to save, extend, and profoundly change my life—a question I believe is divinely inspired. Life 2.0 follows my journey through open-heart surgery and recovery. But, more than that, this is the story of the impact the little things can have when people open their hearts.

During my journey through recovery and rehabilitation, I start to notice the selfless little things others do—and develop a new perspective on life. Coupled with encounters with Angels, my new life is molded into a life of profound physical, emotional, and spiritual change and I decided to call it Life 2.0. An inspiration for healthcare providers, patients, and their families, Life 2.0 demonstrates how the little things can profoundly impact the lives of others and how anyone, if they so choose, can live their own Life 2.0.

I believe that life can be saved, restored, extended, and enhanced just by raising awareness of heart disease. According to the American Heart Association, heart disease is the #1 killer in the world and the United States, ahead of all cancers combined. With that in mind, I am hoping my book will inspire and raise awareness in some way to impact another’s life positively.

The publication date is later in the year, at which time it will show up in bookstores. Until then, I have access to advanced copies.
