The Lie You’ve Been Sold About Making More Placements

The Lie You’ve Been Sold About Making More Placements

Imagine running your recruitment business like this…

Picture this…

You wake up on a Wednesday morning.

No frantic email refreshes. No chasing clients who went quiet. No last-minute scrambles because another candidate dropped out.

Instead, your day is already mapped out.

You have three roles to fill—not thirty. Your clients have already paid upfront, so they’re fully committed. Your candidates show up to interviews prepared and engaged because the client actually values the process.

You’re not hoping to get paid. You’re not competing against five other agencies. You’re not waiting on feedback that never comes.

You’re in control.

By midday, you’ve checked in with a few key clients—no stress, no chasing. You wrap up early to grab lunch with your family, hit the gym, or take the afternoon off.

Because you can.

Meanwhile, someone else—let’s call him “Overworked Contingency Recruiter”—is drowning.

He’s working on 20 roles at once but only getting paid for a handful. His clients are dragging their feet, interviewing candidates from multiple agencies. He’s answering emails late into the night, just to keep up.

And by the end of the month, after all the effort, he still doesn’t know exactly how much he’ll earn.

Now, here’s the reality check…

This isn’t luck.

The most successful recruitment and search firms aren’t grinding harder than you. They aren’t better at recruitment than you. They just play the game differently.

And tomorrow, I’m going to show you exactly how.

At the Rock the Year Summit, I’ll be revealing the unorthodox secrets leading recruitment and search businesses use to win more retained and exclusive clients—with less effort and higher fees.

If you want to stop chasing and start choosing your clients…

If you want to get paid for your time, expertise, and results

If you want to run your business on your terms, not your clients’

Then this session is for you.

"7 Unorthodox Secrets Leading Recruitment and Search Businesses Use to Win More Retained or Exclusive Clients—With Less Effort and Higher Fees."

If you’re ready to take back control of your business, stop being played, and start winning the right clients, make sure you’re there.

The Lie You’ve Been Sold About Making More Placements

A while back, I spoke to a Recruitment Business Owner—let’s call him James.

On paper, James was doing really well.

His average placement fee? £20K+...

Last year, he made 24 placements...

So, he brought in over £480,000 in revenue...

Not bad, right?

But here’s the problem…

To make those 24 placements, James worked on 240 job orders.

That means 216 roles went unfilled—and 90% of his work was completely unpaid.

For every role he placed, there were nine more he worked on for free.

NINE.

That’s nine extra shortlists... Nine extra rounds of interviews... Nine extra clients to chase for feedback...

And let’s not even talk about the hours spent refreshing his inbox, waiting for a client’s decision, only to hear, “We’ve decided to put this role on hold” or “We’re going with an internal candidate.”

Meanwhile, Sarah made the same £480,000.

But here’s the kicker—she only worked on 20 job orders total.

Every single one was retained or exclusive...

She placed 19 out of 20...

And her fees? £25K+ per placement...

Same revenue. One-tenth of the workload. But the real difference?

While James was drowning in admin, constantly checking his phone, and burning the candle at both ends, Sarah had time to actually enjoy life.

She took afternoons off to spend time with her kids... She went on holiday without stressing about losing deals... She wasn’t running on fumes—she was running a business on her terms...

That’s the difference between chasing contingency work and winning retained & exclusive clients.

And this Wednesday, as part of the Rock the Year Summit, I’m breaking down the exact strategies Sarah (and other top recruitment businesses) use to:

Win more retained & exclusive clients..

Work less while earning more...

Escape the contingency hamster wheel for good..

If you’re serious about earning the same (or more) with less sacrifice, this session is for you.
