About LiDAR lidar and filters

The?full?name?of?LiDAR?is?Light?Detection?and?Ranging,?also?known?as?optical?lidar.?The?working?principle?of?LIDAR:?infrared?band?(currently?used?more:?850nm?filter?band,?905nm?filter?band?and?1550nm?filter?band?to?emit,?reflect?and?receive?to?detect?objects. Now,?the?1550nm?indium?gallium?arsenic?(InGaAs)?used?in?unmanned?cars?is?safer?than?the?905nm?silicon?photodetector,?which?can?increase?the?power of?the?laser?and?is?not?easy?to?hurt?eye?health.

And the?power?of?infrared?laser?in?the?905nm?filter?band?can?not?be?made?too?large?due?to?laws?and?regulations,?because?the?905nm?light?is?invisible,?but?it?can?be?directly?transmitted?to?the?human?retina,?so?the?detection?distance?of?905nm?infrared?light?can?not?meet?the?detection?needs?of?unmanned?cars.?Therefore,?to?meet?the?detection?needs?of?the?detection?distance?of?200-300?meters,?the?infrared?light?in?the?1550nm?band?can?meet?the?requirements?(light?wavelength?greater?than?1400nm?can?not?be?projected?to?the?retina),?and?the?infrared?light?in?the?1550nm?band?is?also?a?relatively?mature?application?detection?scheme.

The?laser?power?of?1550nm?lidar?used?by?well-known?enterprises?in?the?field?of?solid?state?lidar?is?40?times?that?of?the?traditional?silicon?photoelectric?system,?and?it?is?found?that?it?can?not?only?improve?the?signal to noise?ratio,?reduce?the?pulse?width,?pulse?repetition?frequency?is?low,?and?the?duty?cycle?is?lower.?At?the?same?time,?it?can?improve?the?detection?effective?distance?of?Lidar,?especially?in?complex?climate?weather,?the?reflectivity?of?the?detected?object?will?be?reduced,?resulting?in?the?shortening?of?the?effective?distance?of?Lidar,?but?increasing?the?power?of?1550nm?Lidar?can?further?solve?this?problem,?even?if?the?relatively?small?reflectivity?of?the?detected?object,?the?effective?distance?of?LiDAR?of?well-known?companies?in?the?industry?can?also?reach?2?A?hundred?meters.
