There is a Lid for Every Pot

There is a Lid for Every Pot

In life, people come and people go. There is only one thing that remains a constant. There is always someone somewhere who realizes your worth, thinks that you are enough and will do anything to help you succeed. When you find these people, they are like a rare diamond that you don't ever want to let go of.

I've been lucky in my life to find workplaces that wanted me. Many of them went out of their way to make me feel welcome, and valued. Even when I left those companies to pursue new endeavors, my work families stayed in touch and have supported me through thick and thin in life and my career.

When I go through tough times like I am now, I reach out to those people. They are my circle. And, they know just what to say. They're highly protective of me, my feelings and my future. They want the best for me, and that means a lot.

So many times in our life, we get into our heads. We begin to think that rejection means that no one wants us. The reality is that we just haven't found the right people, or in some cases the right job.

There's an old saying that people come in and out of your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. As I have gotten older, I have learned to embrace each one and to learn from it. When someone that I felt like I had a connection with leaves my life, I know that there is someone else out there who is waiting to meet me, and to get to know me. When I lose a job, I use that time to figure out what I want and to go after it.

Every time I am rejected in life or my career I remember the word on my tee shirt in the picture that I attached to this article. Sometimes, when we are let go, we are being given a gift. As long as we realized that we are desired, we eventually find our place. And, when we do, it is the most magical feeling.
