Librateric CAB50 is a high active grade of cocamidopropyl betaine manufactured from a low odour and low colour feedstock.?It is around 25% more concentrated than typical grades of CAB30, which makes it hostile to microbial growth, eliminating the need for a preservative.?

Librateric CAB50 provides excellent viscosity building and foam boosting to anionic based cleansers.?In shampoo formulations, it helps to condition the hair and reduce static build up. In a personal care setting and in shampoo formulations, Librateric CAB 50 significantly reduces the amount of static build-up while contributing to overall ‘mildness’. As well as this, it is stable and efficacious over a broad pH range and is compatible with both anionic and cationic surfactants.

• The reactors in Libra’s multi-million pound betaine plant are made from special alloy materials of construction, resulting in no iron contamination in the product from the reactor wall.
• Librateric CAB50 has a free amine content of <0.3%, versus the industry norm of <0.5% which results in less irritancy in our customers finished product.
• Free MCA, a raw material of Librateric CAB50 is <10ppm, compared to the industry norm of <20ppm, also resulting in less irritancy.
• With Libra’s latest capital investment, there is an ability to produce 53,000tpa at full capacity.
• Libra’s betaine tank farm has >1,200 tonnes storage capacity, making product readily available for all customers.
• Fully automated manufacturing plant – Artificial Intelligent software responds to the process to continuously improve product quality.
• Full automation means low labour costs – only one operator/shift to run this 53,000tpa plant. More price competitive.
• Large reactors, up to 60 Tonnes per batch with high yield and energy efficiency. More price competitive.
