The Liberating Power of Confidence

Confidence is more than just a trait; it's a game changer. It can reshape how we navigate the world. In my early years of life, I would not have described myself as a confident person. I was withdrawn, shy, and constantly plagued by insecurity. Everything I did was measured against what people would think of me, what they expected of me and I was driven by fear of other people's opinions rather than my own inner desires.
When I started my journey in this work that I now teach, my focus was confidence. Learning how to let go of the opinions of others and discover the deep sense of self that I had, was a transformative aspect to my inner work.
With time, persistence and patience I was able to develop a deep confidence that wasn't just about being able to show up and look like I knew what I was doing. It was a confidence that was a deep well of knowing myself, loving myself and being aligned with where I was going.
My identity was no longer rooted in shame, anger or other people's expectations. I finally had a sense of real confidence; the kind that is not affected by circumstances or other people.
This work was transformative for me, and I believe that anyone can experience the same kind of transformation that I did. Confidence belongs to all of us and it can change the way we do life. Making decisions, choosing relationships, navigating difficulties, pursuing success...all of these things are fuelled by our sense of self, our relationship with ourselves and the confidence that we hold.
What are the ways that you are choosing to let confidence be your guide today?
