ALDE Congress to take place next week in Stockholm
At the end of next week, from 26 to 28 May, liberals will gather in Stockholm, Sweden for the annual ALDE Party Congress. Our 43rd Congress, this event is an opportunity for to discuss and debate key issues such as climate change, Europe’s changing security situation and more.
ALDE Party Co-President opens EU-Balkans forum
Yesterday, the European Liberal Forum, ALDE Party and the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria hosted The EU Meets the Balkans forum in Sofia, which brought together high-level speakers from across Europe to discuss and debate regional cooperation in the Western Balkans and EU integration in a series of four panels. ALDE Party Co-President Ilhan Kyuchyuk MEP delivered opening remarks at the event.
Ministers discuss banking and stability ahead of ECOFIN
On 16 May, ALDE Party and Renew Europe hosted a meeting of liberal and centrist Ministers ahead of the Economic and Financial Affairs Council of the European Union. Ministers discussed lessons learned from the recent U.S. banking crisis, how Europe can provide solutions to make our financial systems stronger and support for Ukraine and its reconstruction.
