LHi West Coast Q1 Round Up......

As we sit here in uncertain unprecedented times, it is easy to be consumed by fear and negativity so, I thought I would take this opportunity to spread some positivity and reflect on some great work by my team here at LHi on the West Coast and give some well-deserved recognition.
I am super excited to share we achieved 82% growth across the office compared to our 2019 Q1 with all three of our brands contributing and kicking the year off well. As a growing office we set out to achieve 50-60% growth, but through some amazing performances and some even-better client relationships we were able to beat that comfortably. A major factor to our success has been contribution across the teams – whilst we do have some real super stars that sit in our office, one of our major strengths over the years has been the spread of contribution, with all members of the team - consistently performing. Our commitment to providing a professional, sophisticated and thoughtful service has enabled us to develop and build some amazing relationships and long may it continue!! GREAT WORK TEAM!!
On top of this impressive growth, we also hit a few other major milestones and promotions, resulting in an all round amazing Q1. In February we moved into our brand-new office, which has space for us to double headcount. This was a monumental move for us, giving us space to grow, bigger and better meeting rooms, our own kitchen and fridge (BIG DEAL) and just a general feeling of being in our own home. Having worked in shared offices for the past 5 years it was hugely satisfying cutting the ribbon on moving day of our very own office door! A massive shout out to Janna Connolly and Allie Ricci-Fisher who helped to make the move possible, it was truly seamless, and the team couldn’t be happier. We saw three promotions, with Camerin, Spencer and Scott all moving up in the business. Great work all round and a special mention to Scott who moved up into the VP & Head of SciPro position, he now leads our biggest business unit here on the West Coast. On top of that, another major shout out to Pavlina who hit an incentive milestone here at LHi - an stellar performance from Pavlina, she has built some incredible relationships and I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate her on her great work.
Despite these numbers, promotions and milestones all being amazing, they don’t quite cover off what I am most proud of at this stage of the year…
At the LHi Group we talk about the ‘Younger you concept’ (read more about this on our CEO Jim Denning’s page) the idea that all of the leaders in our business, have the responsibility to themselves and the wider group to remember the person we used to be and work to make our team members career path a little clearer and a little more straight forward than ours. This mantra is something that is close to home for me, but as we grow as an office it is a mantra that has stuck with my leadership team as well. We have one of the most collaborative environments I have ever seen with every member of the team fitting in and having immense importance but also fully embracing the fact that it is their job to make our whole office and team better. With this mindset, it gives us the infrastructure to go from strength to strength and so whilst the numbers are good, our ability to maintain our culture and support new people joining the business and starting their careers leads the way in terms of what is important to me as an office leader.
We move into Q2 at a very strange time, with very few certainties, but one thing that I can be certain of, is that we will continue to maintain our culture and embrace the ‘younger you’ mantra – which can only lead to good things! I know most people reading this will be working from home and will be slightly apprehensive with both personal and business-related challenges as we move through Q2, but I wanted to take the time to spread this message of positivity.
