LF (Philippines) Inc. launches its 2024-2025 Management Trainee Program

LF (Philippines) Inc., a subsidiary of Danish shipping giant, 马士基 , has officially launched its 2024-2025 Management Trainee Program last August 1, 2024.

The Challenges

Coming from a pool of 618 applicants and having undergone a demanding screening process since March, 17 Management Trainees were formally welcomed at the Quezon City distribution center by Glendale Santiago , Southeast Asia Head of Frontline People Organization, and People Partners Dianne Farrales-Tabayag , Danilo Landas , and EJ Sapno .

The local team, represented by cross-functional leaders from distribution center services, value-added services, transport management services, solutions design, account management, commercial management, and human resources, among others, also sat as assessors during the batch screening process in facilitating the Assessment Center aimed to further evaluate aspirants onsite.

Through the shared effort of the regional talent acquisition team led by Asia Pacific Talent Acquisition Manager Fiona Hao , Southeast Asia Talent Acquisition Manager Sally Chan , and Talent Acquisition Associates, Cristine S , Jennifer Evangelista , and Nikki Dianne Matias , and the Philippine onboarding team represented by People Advisors, Jena Balicat and Kim Treasure Desdichado , the success of the local Management Trainee Program would not have been possible.

The Program

The 18-month program will consist of 3 rotations in various warehouse locations, designed to give them a well-rounded perspective on building a logistics career. Each of the Management Trainees will have an assigned mentor who will serve as anchors as they navigate through the whole program. Those hired under the program form a key pipeline of managerial talent for LF (Philippines) Inc.

Over the course of the next few weeks, the Management Trainees will undergo a series of intensive onboarding orientation and visit key distribution centers for immersion and meet-and-greet with local leaders. They will also receive their official assignments for their 1st rotation.

Apart from local exposure, Management Trainees will also participate in international fora and activities organized by the regional office to allow interaction among the cohorts from other countries.

After 18 months

Successful graduates of the program will be offered a role within the contract logistics operations of LF (Philippines) Inc. and begin their journey as line leaders with advancement opportunities within the next 2 to 5 years.
