The Lexicon of Truth (Allusion & Illusion)

The Lexicon of Truth (Allusion & Illusion)

Since when did the word “truth” require an adjective. Apparently, this is the world we live in now, as many that consist and make up the now industrial media complex shamelessly and self-righteously proclaim that they are the source for the “real truth.”?

Just as food, water, and shelter, are necessary for human existence, so too are words for quality of life. Words preserve history. They allow for one’s ability to articulate and communicate thoughts and behavior. They allow humanity to advance rapidly. They insight emotion. Words are the energy thus the manifestation of our consciousness.?

Words are oftentimes dangerous as well. They have erased history. They have insight hate. They have now been weaponized.

Many in the industrial media complex proclaim that they are the source of “real truth” thereby paradoxically acknowledging that the industry is fraught with fake truth which translates into simply put we must remain steadfast and resolute in both our usage and understanding of words.?

Since “real truth” is what the industrial media complex is declaring, it is imperative as the intended recipients of these words to dissect and truly understand the meaning.

Truth defined: It is the quality or state of being true. It is also defined as that which is true or in accordance with fact or reality. It is also defined as a fact or belief that is accepted as true.

Perhaps all that is not quite right in the world comes down to the fact that “truth” which should be the most comprehensible, intelligible, and lucid of all words, is actually quite the opposite. The ideology of truth is a philosophy, a mindset, and a morality, but it has been built on the foundation of ambiguous, indecisive, and equivocal language, such that two parties could hold varying and opposing truths. There is division in the country and the world, wherever one looks. Both sides hold steadfast to opposite truths.

Is truth an allusion?

An allusion is an expression designed to call something to mind without mentioning it explicitly; an indirect or passing reference.??

What is most compelling about the definition of truth is that it makes a tacit reference to facts and belief (intention), without making fact and belief necessary to the definition. Thus, there’s an allusion to facts and belief. It is this built-in allusion that causes a disconnect.? It is this allusion that makes it so that the opposite of truth is not a lie, as many believe.

The definition of a lie is an intentionally false statement. This definition is clear. No room for allusion.?

The problem with the allusion in the word "truth" is that it causes the illusion of truth. The definition of illusion is a thing that is or is likely to be wrongly perceived or interpreted by the senses.??

Since the definition of truth is murky, where fact and belief(intention) are mere allusions in the definition, the word truth can easily be used as an illusion by the industrial media complex.? Hence, they don’t advertise their news hour by promising “we don't lie,” because that would be a lie. Rather, they advertise their news hour by promising “real truth” which is nothing more than an illusion.

The moral of the story is that words matter. Pay attention to them closely and use them wisely and responsibly.?
