The LevLane 2024 Super Bowl Ad Awards | The Good, The Bad and The Temu
There’s nothing like Super Bowl Monday in the ad world –?or the day where everyone weighs in on what worked, what didn’t and what reigned most memorable.
And if LevLane were to host an award show to celebrate these campaigns, here's what the lineup of 2024 winners would look like:
The award for…Most Likely to Put Us In Our Feels: Javier in Frame | Google Pixel
By taking a seemingly everyday moment many of us don't think twice about, Google shared a technology feature unique to the Pixel 8 from the perspective of a man who's visually impaired –?and the ending had us crying over our buffalo chicken dip.
The award for…Best Celebrity Cameos: The DunKings | Dunkin' Donuts
Dunkin' Donuts tapped into all generations with cameos from various celebrities, most notably Ben Affleck leading his boy band the "DunKings" featuring Tom Brady and Matt Damon.
The award for…Most Classically On Brand: Dita & Mita | Doritos
If there's one brand that never lets us down Super Bowl after Super Bowl, it's Doritos. Quirky, comical and creatively outlandish –?they keep it entertaining, and this year was no different with the focus on two passionate abuelitas on a mission to retrieve their snacks. (If you don't believe us, take a walk down memory lane !)
The award for...Best Cinematic Storytelling: An American Love Story | Volkswagen
This commercial felt less like an ad and more like a short film on the history and nostalgia of a classic icon across the automotive industry –?and how its consumers have shaped the soul of the brand along the way.

The award for...Best Pre-Game Buzz: Michael CeraVe | CeraVe
Leading up to the Super Bowl, there were a variety of Michael Cera connections to the brand with speculations that he had turned into a skin influencer and rumors that Cera was the inventor of the product. The brand even tapped in additional creators like Bobbi Althoff to host Michael Cera on her popular podcast to add momentum to the campaign. By the time the Super Bowl hit, their commercial tied everything together perfectly.
The award for...Most Likely to Inspire a Movement: Hard Knocks | Dove
Dove is no stranger to inspirational Super Bowl commercials and, in true Dove fashion, this year's commercial motivated us to think a little deeper when it comes to the pressure of self image and expectations we hold for women –?especially girls. With #KeepHerConfident, this movement is surely going to go far beyond just an ad placement on Super Bowl Sunday.
The award for...Biggest Eye Roll: Shop Like a Billionaire | Temu
If there's one thing the controversial brand Temu did right, it was repetition, since this ad felt inescapable. With not one, not two, but THREE Super Bowl ads, we can't help but think maybe the brand needs a lesson in quality vs. quantity. Yikes.
