When you hear the word “Culture”, what comes to mind?

“Culture eats strategy for breakfast.” - Peter Drucker

Anyone can plan strategy sessions and draw on a vision board at every meeting but if your organization culture does not support your strategies and plans, they become futile.

Culture is the bedrock of every organization!        

The benefits of a good culture include:

  1. Increased employee engagement
  2. Low attrition rate
  3. Improved team collaboration and
  4. Enhanced performance

To ensure that your organization culture remains strong and aligned with your goals, it is important to regularly assess it. Culture assessment helps us understand where we stand and identify areas for improvement.


What are Ways You can Perform a Culture Assessment?

  1. Regularly gather feedback from employees through anonymous suggestion boxes.
  2. Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to employee satisfaction, retention, and productivity.
  3. Bring in external consultants to provide an unbiased assessment of your culture.

Culture assessment is largely based on management philosophy, customer orientation and organization structure. All these play a vital role in shaping and maintaining your culture.

In assessing your culture, ask these three important questions:

Are you employee-oriented or work-oriented?

Are you open to customers or closed to customers feedback?

Are you means-oriented or goal-oriented?

Like Jawaharlal Nehru said, "Culture is the widening of the mind and of the spirit."

A strong culture promotes continuous learning and growth.

Are you truly growing as an organization if you are not assessing your culture?
