Leverage the Services Page of Your LinkedIn Profile

Leverage the Services Page of Your LinkedIn Profile

Have you populated your LinkedIn Services page?

A Services page?makes your services more discoverable from LinkedIn or using search sites, such as Google.

This section displays right after your About and Top Skills sections, so it’s in a prominent part of your profile.

?

How to Create a Services Page

  • Click on the “Open to” button toward the top of the profile
  • Select “Providing Services”

  • Select your work location and indicate if you are open to remote work
  • Add media, such as photos, videos, websites, and documents – available only with a Premium Business subscription

Services You Can List

?You can select up to 10 services from a list.

?These services are listed under the categories of:?

  • Accounting
  • Coaching & Mentoring
  • Consulting
  • Design
  • Events
  • Finance
  • Home Improvement
  • Information Technology
  • Insurance
  • Law
  • Marketing
  • Operations
  • Photography
  • Real Estate
  • Software Development
  • Writing

?You are limited to the words or phrases that are listed by LinkedIn. Hopefully, you will be able to identify at least three or four services you provide.

?

Create the About Section of Your Services Page

?

It can be challenging to create a succinct description of your services. You may want to turn to ChatGPT or another AI tool.

Here’s the prompt I gave to ChatGPT: “I am a LinkedIn tutor and trainer serving business owners, commission-based professionals and job seekers. Please give me ideas for how to describe my services in 500 characters or less for the About section of the Services page on my LinkedIn profile.”

?The response consisted of two very long sentences.

?So, my follow-up prompt was, “Try again with shorter sentences or a bulleted list and get to as close as 500 characters as possible.”

?I opted to use a variation of the second response for my About section on my Services page. Here it is, including my call to action.

?“I help business owners, commission-based professionals, and job seekers maximize LinkedIn. My services include:

  • Profile optimization
  • Network building
  • Lead generation strategies
  • Job search techniques

Whether you want to attract clients, generate leads, or find your dream job, I provide tailored training and expert guidance. With my personalized support, you can stand out on LinkedIn and achieve your goals.
