Levels of Information

We live in a world where we are overwhelmed with information every minute.?

To survive this, I created a mental filter with three different levels of information: fact, opinion, and story.?

A fact is a fact, no matter what we think or feel about it. Like, the market is down.

A story is our overgeneralized and oversimplified version of the reason for the facts. Like, a recession is coming.

An opinion is someone else's story we agree to. Like, I should sell stocks like everyone else.

I attempt to block all stories and opinions using my filter. Sometimes I succeed.
