LEVELS DIGITAL DECODE #6: 2023 Wrapped

Take a moment to think back to January 2023 – did you have any idea of what this year would have in store? Take one more moment, just one, to reflect on what you've accomplished: the milestones, the growth, the mishaps, the heartbreak, the hope. When you think about it, it's been one hell of a year, hasn't it? And that's true for us here at Levels as well – good, bad, and everything in between.

In this very special edition of Digital Decode (and before you say anything scathing, yes of course it's inspired by the brilliance that is Spotify ), we're wrapping up 2023 with a recollection of milestones and accomplishments that made this year into one of our most successful yet. We encourage you to take the time and do the same.

Levels joins forces with Gateway Group of Companies to further strengthen its position as the leading Venture Studio in the Nordics

As 2023 neared its end, we announced that we recently joined forces with Gateway Group of Companies in a joint venture to further accelerate digital innovation, transformation, and venturing. Through the joint venture, Levels and Gateway will combine knowledge, experience, and resources in a jointly owned business based on the offerings, strategies, and market position that Levels has established over the years. The company will continue to operate under the Levels brand, leveraged by Gateway's global resources.

Levels Joins White Guide as Co-Owner and Digital Partner

At the end of summer, Levels entered as one of three new owners of White Guide, the ground-breaking gastronomic guide that has marked the Nordic food world with its independent, curious and trustworthy brand since 2005.

Ella Awarded "App of the Year" at the Femillo Awards 2023

At the beginning of December, our brilliant venture Ella was awarded the honorable title "App of the Year" at the Femillo Awards 2023. The Femillo Awards aim to highlight and support initiatives that promote women's health and well-being. Finalists in eight different categories were selected by Femillo's jury, and then the decision was handed over to the public for voting.

Social App Djungo Wants to Reform Digital Dating with New Ways to Initiate Relationships

Stockholm-based Djungo is the online dating industry's new star – an innovative social platform that is primarily aimed at so-called digital natives/Gen Z. The app addresses unwanted loneliness among young adults and introduces a whole new way to meet friends and find love. After a financing round of 15 MSEK and with Levels as a venture partner, Djungo is well on its way to revolutionizing the online dating industry from within.

As a leading venture studio, Levels creates value for startups and scaleups through our expertise in tech, design, business strategy, growth, funding and more. We always strive to find new ways of creating more value for our ventures. During 2023, we started exploring strategic partnerships to extend our offering and further support our ventures. The result? An after work at our offices in the beautiful locales of A house co-hosted by our strategic partners at Google for Startups EU and KPMG.

Afripods' New Broadcast-to-Podcast Technology Empowers African Publishers to Increase Profits

During the summer, Afripods , Africa's leading podcast hosting and distribution platform, released its Broadcast-to-Podcast technology (B2P), resulting in an 895% increase in streams for participating radio stations and networks in the last six months.

Outdoor Festival STHLM Returns for the Second Year to Djurg?rdsbrunn

After last year's opening success, Outdoor Festival STHLM returned to Djurg?rdsbrunn for a weekend filled with exciting activities, inspiring lectures and great competition prizes. Levels venture NOA Nordic Outdoor Adventures AB is the mastermind behind the festival in collaboration with outdoor giants such as Naturkompaniet , Fj?llr?ven and Primus. The goal: to build the largest outdoor festival in the Nordics.

We hosted our very first webinar on how venture studios are shaping the startup ecosystem, and it was (if we may say so ourselves) a real success. Our venture experts Per Str?mb?ck , Tulle Edman and Firuza Rakhimova discussed and answered burning questions on how to navigate the complex landscape of financing for startups, how venture studio financing works and how it can be used as a powerful tool to build successful companies, and more.
