Expanded Problem-Solving Capabilities: The ability to interpret machine data opens up new avenues for problem-solving, enabling us to address complex challenges that were previously intractable. This can be particularly valuable in fields such as national security, scientific research, and disaster response.

The potential impact of understanding machine data with the example of Kyle, an expert in interpreting data from synthetic aperture radars. Kyle's ability to read and understand this highly technical data enabled him to locate a safe landing zone for a medical evacuation helicopter after Hurricane Ian, directly contributing to the saving of multiple lives.

The development of technology that allows humans to understand machine data as easily as we understand text would unlock significant potential, leading to a 10x improvement in human-machine teaming outcomes.
