LEVE SOVAL FOUNDATION: Annual Medical Mission Trip 2019

Leve Soval Foundation’s dedication and passion for the rural population of Haiti was at the heart of our 2nd annual mission trip in Sauval, Haiti this year; as we engaged the community during the three (3) days events.

Day 1, we distributed school supplies for more than 1,000 students. These included backpacks, notebooks, pencils, pen, etc…and provided meals and drinks. 

Day 2, we attended to about 500 patients during our community health fair. We diagnosed and treated an array of medical issues including but not limited to hypertension, diabetes, scabies, asthma, STIs, acute respiratory infection... 

Special attention was placed on educating patients on prevention and management of many of the conditions affecting the community. 

We provided additional education to a local nurse and set up a follow up plan for patients needing quick follow up. 

Day 3 was limited to girls and women for an interactive discussion on body education, importance of body positivity, hygiene, precocious pregnancy, STIs and other infections. We distributed and provided education for the Days for Girls kit; and shared a meal with them.

We created temporary jobs for 43 local residents during those events.
