Letting go of pride and mental health
Hi LinkedIn Family,
On my way towards a healthy mental balanced life started with me. Yes ME, I had to give up on the idea that I am fine the way I am and the way I was. In my almost 60 years in this life, the hardest thing is simply to receive constructive criticism. I felt like no one can tell me about me. How could they? They don't know me. Because of these thoughts, this became my hardest lesson to absorb.
I have had to stumble over myself more times I am willing to confess. Even though it was a hard won lesson for me - it was also the beginning of a new world. It has allowed me to focus on the things that really matter, such as: Mental, Spiritual, and Physical health. I caution you that many of the smaller triumphs in Life tend to be the ones that lead to much bigger rewards in due time.
I have learned that once chosen, the path of mental balance becomes just a little easier with each passing day. I am not saying it is as easy as getting your personal pride out the way. Nope! That is definitely not the case. But what I will say, is that once you have come to terms with the reality of your own flaws, you just might find it easier to let go of the 'know-it-all' mentality that you once held you back.
If you're like me and you want a healthy mental balance, then it often starts with s decision to check your self-pride at the door. #checkyourself
Think about it.
Yours truly,
