Letting go

Letting go

Have you ever had a really good song in your head that you can’t really grasp? The song is there and you are frantically trying to remember the melody, but you are not able to since right now, the radio is playing another song.

You can try to push yourself to mentally block the song they’re playing on the radio, or drown it out by singing loudly, but the easiest way is usually to just turn off the radio. That’s when the melody you got in your head has a chance to make its way out there by itself.

Imagine if it is the same way when it comes to what you perceive as negative events in your life? It might not be about forcing yourself to think positively, using a lot of techniques, visualization, and affirmation. It might be as simple as turning off the negative.

Maybe you don’t have to struggle so hard to find the positive and feel good? Imagine if it is as simple as letting go of the thoughts of what you don’t want to experience, and the “goodies” will come out by themselves? Just as easy as turning off a radio in order for the melody of your favorite song to pop up by itself.

Are you dwelling on something negative? A person or situation that irks you and you twist, turn, and mulling it over in your thoughts? Imagine if the fact that you are focusing on what is annoying you is preventing you from seeing the perfect solution that is already in your mind and just waiting for an opportunity to pop out.

Good luck!
