Letting Go

?God Led Initiations?Reminding you that you can heal/transform yourself?
In the concrete jungle, most call home, we are surrounded by material items. Our clothes, beds, kitchen appliances, furniture, electronic devices, pictures, board games, rugs, plants...It surrounds us.
When we pause for a moment and look at any particular item, we can remember something about it. "My sister gave me that", "That was from my mom's house and she insisted it came with me" or even "I have no idea where that came from, I needed a bed when I moved in and my assistance ordered it for me"
Each of these memories or thoughts creates a part of our identity; who we are choosing to be in the world. Conscious of it or not, we are holding onto a piece of the past.
When we start to consciously choose who we want to be, what we want to do and how to show up in the world, these things can "hold us back".
We can only hold onto so much in our lives and if we do not let go of the things that we once loved, then there is no room for who we want.
My Transformation Story
This last year I got rid of EVERYTHING, except a carry-on bag and a backpack (Plus a car that sits in the US for when I am there). It took me more than 30 times to go through everything I owned to get it down to this.

I cried over a pair of socks during this most recent downsizing. Not out of regret but out of relief, I remember when I bought them. They were fuzzy and soft and brought me comfort in my home; always wanted super soft socks as house slippers (yes they cost a ridiculous amount of money). I chose to radically change my life, I am after experiences that are everything but the norm. Which meant that I chose to remove anything that would take up space both physically and emotionally from my past. How can I get to a zero point and create from a higher frequency?
Since then I have been to over 17 countries and have experienced magic at every turn. Eating breakfast with wild elephants, being baptized in the Nile in Egypt, Sitting with Aya (plant medicine) deep in the jungle in Peru, and cold plunging in the Swiss Alps.
The people I have met along the way have blown me away, the way they create from a place of play. Driven to be in a world that has the stress of survival removed.
A life that has its own challenges and recognition of how much time and energy it takes to focus on where I will sleep, eat, and get good water. Each time I find the answers to those questions, I meet more magical people and magical missions.
So, if you are in a transition and you want to change your life, look around you, what can you physically let go of? Create space for the things you do want in this life.
