3 个月Thanks, Mark! That really brightened up my morning. Derek Spontaneous really hit the nail on the head in reflecting that people often think that chaos is good. Does this arise because of some mistaken understanding of complexity theory? I think yes, specifically because, I think, complexity isn't all pervasive. For example, the Cynefin framework identifies the realms of the Complicated and Simple where top down waterfall is actually best. But even complicated projects are peppered with complexity much in the same way that a currant bun contains currants. We've just got to get better at designing buns where all the currants are at one end where they can be gobbled by the currant people. Hmmnnn... have I taken that metaphor a step too far! ??
