Historical Archived Letter's between Paul Cuffe & James Forten 1.13.1817 & 1.17.1817

Craft Archive Fellowship 2022: Researching James Forten: Free African American Master Craftsman, Businessman, Big Ship Sail maker, 1766 - 1842, Philadelphia, Pa. https://www.centerforcraft.org/recipient/2022-craft-archive-fellowship-xenobia-bailey

Beautiful penmanship. Hand written letter's between sail maker James Forten: 1766 - 1842, and Paul Cuffe: 1759 - 1817, a Free Man of Color. Big ship builder in Cuttyhunk, Mass.

Thanks so very much to special collections librarian Jodi Goodman, at the New Bedford, Free Public Library for emailing me copies of the family and business letters of Paul Cuffe: I just had to share these vintage hand written letters between businessmen James Forten & Paul Cuffe, as I research the innovative sail making and studio practice of big ship sail making of James Forten. https://www.westport-ma.com/historical-documents/pages/cuffe-paul-personal-and-family-papers

The archive material that I'm coming across during this research is mind boggling. Like I will forever say, Philadelphia is the best place to do research on Early American History.

I just have to share my excitement about this research.
