Letter to President Paul Kagame and President Félix Tshisekedi: A Call for African Unity and Brotherhood
Mamadou Lamine GUEYE
A prosperous and peaceful world, built on harmony, respect and justice where every voice is heard, every life is valued and every nation thrives together.
President Paul Kagame and President Félix Tshisekedi, as brothers and leaders of Rwanda and the DRC, you have the power to transform division into unity and conflict into cooperation.Your nations share a history, a future, and a responsibility to build peace, security, and prosperity for your people. Africa needs leaders who choose dialogue over discord, development over destruction. We cannot achieve the United States of Africa through division and conflict. There is no Rwanda or Congo there is only Africa, and the interests of the African people must come before the borders imposed by colonialism. Ask yourselves about history. Ask yourselves about Mobutu, who once gathered presidents from around the world. Ask yourselves about Bokassa, about Gaddafi, about Blaise the traitor. Ask yourselves about Ali Bongo, who in the end was calling for people to make noise. How about Hosni Mubarak? We have a living testament in our courageous father, Laurent Gbagbo. Ask yourselves about those who believed their true allies were outside this continent. Politically and diplomatically the West has no true allies; it only pursues its own interests through Mineral Diplomacy alliances driven by resource exploitation rather than genuine partnership . One day, both of you will leave office, and others will take your place. When that day comes, you must be proud to walk freely across Africa with your heads held high, knowing you have left a legacy for this continent. When you travel beyond Africa, there are no separate identities no Congolese, no Rwandese, no Senegalese, no Ghanaian, no Kenyan, no nigerian , no ethiopian , no sudanese. They call us Africans. And as Africans, our priority must be to unite our forces for the future of this continent. Your so called allies of today could one day turn against you and send you to the International Criminal Court. So, be African, act as Africans, and as brothers and leaders, work together for the prosperity and unity of our continent. May wisdom guide your leadership, and may history remember you as champions of African unity and peace. The future of our continent depends on the choices you make today. Stand together as brothers, lead with vision, and prioritize the prosperity of Africa above all else.
With the highest respect and honor
