Letter to myself: Apple TV 4K and a laggy Remote

Hello future Beno?t, the message is for you. I have encountered something incomprehensible according to the current science and yet the solution is deceptively simple.

I'm using an Apple TV 4K at home. Prior I was using the previous Apple TV at the exact same location with no problems at all. I changed the current HDMI wire for a faster one, just in case. I configured the device and test the HDMI cable using the setting menu option. All is good.

The new remote is very laggy and it is nearly impossible to use it.

Of course, I'm running the current version of the tvOS, I did try a factory reset, which didn't help at all. I charged the Siri Remote for a night (as recommended, I used an Apple Lightning cable and a wall charger). tvOS should take care of the Siri remote firmware update however, I found instruction on how to update the remote here. Even when disabling all wireless devices, router and other Bluetooth devices it is not really getting better.

Curiously, an older aluminium Apple TV remote (IR based and not Bluetooth) is working fine. I hope Apple finds a solution fast, because this is very annoying! I find tons of messages about the issue on the internet (early date: October 2017). SchmatzS contributed to the thread Apple TV 4K Remote, bluetooth interference on discussions.Apple.com.

I picked another HDMI cable from my stock pile, it worked ! Unbelievable, because I already used a certified 4k HDMI cable. But I switched to another one and that worked immediately.

Don't judge me, I don't try to understand everything. Sometimes it is not mean to be understood, just accepted.
