A Letter To My Wife

A Letter To My Wife

There was an old saying that "behind every great man was a woman keeping it all together." I like the more evolved quote below from Dorothy Sayers:

Today, I want to take the time to recognize a very important woman in my life who has been the person holding it all together.

Although I am writing this article for the public, I only care about one set of eyes reading the below letter.

Dear Mel,

As I sit down to write this, my heart is filled with immense gratitude and love for you. I want to take this opportunity to express my deepest appreciation for your unwavering support and love during the challenging times we've faced together.

Life has its ups and downs, its twists and turns, and we are certainly navigating through some rough patches. Yet, through it all, you have been my rock, my pillar of strength. Your unwavering belief in me, your endless patience, and your boundless love have been the guiding light that has led us through every storm.

Your faith in our relationship, in our family, has been a source of inspiration for me, giving me the courage to keep going even when the odds seemed insurmountable.

Your selflessness knows no bounds. You've sacrificed so much for our family, always putting our needs above your own. I can do my work with confidence and focus knowing that our family is in good hands with you steering the ship. Your love is truly unconditional even when Crew launches his latest piece of food across the room or when Waffles barks at the door to wake up the baby.

I want you to know that your strength, your resilience, and your love have not gone unnoticed. Every sacrifice you've made, every tear you've shed, has been deeply appreciated. You are the heart and soul of our family, and I am endlessly thankful for everything you do. If Waffles could talk he would say the same thing too, but he would say he still likes me more.

As we continue this journey together, I want to reaffirm my commitment to you. You are my partner, my confidante, and my best friend, and I am so incredibly blessed to have you in my life.

Thank you, for being the extraordinary woman that you are. I love you more than words can express, and I will be forever grateful for your presence in my life.

Here's to another year of loving and living!

Love,

Dan
