One great wishing other.
Sir ratan tata posted this on his Facebook handle.
Now everyone loves MS Dhoni for a number of reasons. here are a few of mine.
1. MSD is much more than a cricketer. A good human who gave us life lessons.
2. "I'm on national duty. everything else can wait" - Dhoni on the birth of his daughter Ziva.
3. "I tell Sakshi that she is the third most important person in my life after my country and parents" - MS Dhoni.
4. MS Dhoni was quite Un-orthodox. he did not follow any standard cricketing textbooks & yet he's a legend of the game. For instance, Sunil Gavaskar's or Virat Kohli's cover drive is loved by all, but you hardly have seen MS Dhoni play cover drive. he had his own style. lesson learned- "you need not follow what everyone does. you can achieve great things in your own way of doing it"
5. Who doesn't know about MSD's "God mode wicket keeping". he has affected stumpings faster than an eye blink. That's insane right! & amazing fact about his WK is he doesn't practice it for matches. it's all-natural.
6. When team India would win matches, Dhoni use to collect trophies, give it to youngsters of the team & he would move aside. when asked about it dhoni sais " I already get an over-exposure of 20 seconds while collecting trophy as captain.so I give to other members of the team & let them celebrate" This speaks volumes on what was important to him. Values. & the tradition which is now also followed by current team India captain Virat Kohli as well as vice-captain Rohit Sharma. This happens when you do great things. people will follow you
7. Many cricketers will come and go, there will be no one like dhoni who treated wins and loss, both equal and part & parcel of the game.
8. World cricket (not just Indian cricket) will never ever see a player again like MS Dhoni who was so good in three departments of the game (Captaining, Wicket-keeping & Finishing matches) & doing that for a decade in a country where cricket is seen as a religion shouldering hopes and wishes of billions of Indians
9. "You don't play for the people or critics. You play for the country" - MS Dhoni
10 And lastly, how does he bid adieu to the sport which he loved the most & contributed in every way possible? No speculations, No clue to anyone, No hype or anything, just a 4-minute video of his journey from start to finish, including all his career high's and low's with a classic background song "main pal do pal ka shayer hoon". because he didn't care about all these. these are signs of great people.
I Love you tons, MS Dhoni. We all love you and a small thank-you for all your services to the country and changing the face of Indian cricket forever!
