A Letter For The Lost and Struggling

A Letter For The Lost and Struggling

I once met a woman who considered herself strong. She said, "I have no emotions."

What an incredibly blind statement.

Having emotions does not make you weak. It makes you human. Every single human behavior is triggered by a preceding emotion. From basic things like eating, sleeping, defecating... to complex choices, like who you choose for your relationships, how you show up in them, and what you choose as your career path.

Not having emotions is not an option for a human. Even psychopaths and sociopaths have emotions. What they lack is empathy and the capacity to love. They are always meeting their own needs, without considering other people's needs and feelings.

If you are feeling lost, stuck, or struggling to meet goals, you have deep, unresolved anger.

People think of anger as something explosive. We believe that if someone has "anger issues," they will snap, yell, swear, and get violent. The truth is that quiet, soft spoken people also have massive anger issues that are suppressed yet thriving in their subconscious, and it controls them just the same.

Whether you're outwardly angry, or suppressed angry, the symptoms in life are very similar. You feel lost and dissatisfied. You feel that you struggle.

Unresolved anger always affects the present. It feels like you're pushing on accelerate with the emergency brake on. It feels painful. It's slow moving. You're prevented from doing what you really love, and having the courage to live on your terms. Whether you see it or not, it's slowly damaging you from inside.

Anger is just a symptom. It's like an iceberg where you see the tip, and below the surface, there is always a large mass of hidden RESENTMENT.

Resentment lives in your subconscious. It's always there, reminding you, awake or asleep. It follows you everywhere. It controls you in making choices. Resentments is what keeps people in the past, and what drives people to create recurring problems in their life. Toxic work issues. Negative relationships that suck you dry. Recurring pain around lack of fulfilment, and not understanding what makes you happy and satisfied. You're either stuck and unable to take real action, or constantly slamming your head against the wall.

Resentment builds over time. It grows exponentially, and eventually, from being a quiet voice that whispers you directions, it comes to surface and gives you a reality check... also known as a "rock bottom," where everything that mattered to you goes wrong.

(Eventually, if you want to be happy, fulfilled, and have success on your terms, you'll have to face your anger and resentment in your journey, no matter how much you suppress and ignore it).

Your action directs towards what you see and hear in your mind. When anger and resentment from the past is so prevalent in your subconscious, that's what you see and hear at a daily basis, and this can slip completely under your conscious radar. You end up choosing based on the pasts's problems... and you end up creating the exact patterns that you want to get away from.

How do you actually start to release anger and resentment?

The first step is to get rid of all your vice. Everyone has their own way of avoiding and feeling better, that gives them the instant gratification. These vices include food, alcohol, marijuana and other drugs and pills, shopping, workaholism, being busy, taking courses and training... typical vices are always about looking for the silver bullet, without having to actually look at yourself and the situation honestly. Vice is the easy route because it doesn't require you to change anything about yourself, how you perceive and show up, nor risking to own up the truth, and speaking your truth. Being suppressed or shut down is often the main cause of the resentment and anger, and using the vices helps you keep the anger and resentment suppressed and shut down.

The second step is to work with someone who understands how to release and process these feelings so they are no longer a part of your life. You can reach out to work with someone like me, who specializes in resolving complicated relationships and deep personal pains, and redirect you towards clarity and succeeding on your own terms.

After having worked with clients since 2016, and I've had over 50 different clients just this year. During this time, I was able to gather some great data. I found that even the most accomplished, happiest, mindful people have deep resentments from the past that are stopping them from moving forward. It's what takes you away from your freedom to be who you really want to be, do the work that matters to you, and foster a wonderful life of healthy relationships and support.

Thank you for taking the time to put this article together. I sometimes wonder why I feel like I'm sliding into old patterns and this explains some of the why.
