A Letter from Anna Naveed Co-Founder of WebHR, Hireside & Pay.Day On International Women’s Day 2025
Dear WebHR, Hireside, and PayDay Family, Dear Clients, Partners, and Friends Around the Globe,
Today, on International Women’s Day, I pause not just as a leader or co-founder of companies I’ve helped build from the ground up, but as a woman who once dared to dream in a world that told her to play small.
Years ago, when I co-founded WebHR, the world of technology, especially HR tech, looked vastly different. The road was lonely. Women weren’t always invited to the table, and when they were, they often found themselves sitting quietly on the margins. I remember being told, more than once, that HR software was "too niche" and "too complex" for a woman to lead. But with every door that closed, a new idea took root. That idea grew into what WebHR is today, a platform serving clients in over 200 countries, simplifying how businesses manage their most valuable asset: their people.
When we launched Hireside, I saw an opportunity to connect candidates to their futures in a way no one else was doing. And with PayDay, we broke new ground in global payroll solutions. Yet, behind every product, every solution, and every line of code was a simple but powerful mission...to create workplaces that celebrate people, their potential, and their dignity.
But today isn’t about platforms or numbers or growth charts. Today is about celebrating women, in all the roles they play. As dreamers. Builders. Caregivers. Innovators. Peacemakers. Leaders.
And it’s about reflecting on a truth I’ve carried with me from the start: We rise by lifting others.
I think back to the countless nights spent refining ideas at a small desk with nothing but ambition to light the way. I think of the silent champions who stood by me, mentors, friends, family, and my team, who reminded me that purpose beats perfection every time.
And I think of the women at WebHR, Hireside, and PayDay today. The developers building the future of HR tech. The customer support heroes who handle every client’s concern with grace. The designers turning vision into experiences that inspire. The women in leadership who guide teams with empathy and courage. And those who bring their entire selves to work while managing roles at home that often go unseen.
To all of you, and to women everywhere who are rewriting the narrative of what leadership looks like, Thank you. Thank you for your courage, your talent, your resilience. Thank you for showing up, for standing up, and for lifting up those who need it.

I’m proud that we’ve built companies that reflect this belief, where every voice matters, and where women are not just part of the team, they are leaders, creators, and change-makers.
So, on this International Women’s Day, let this be our promise: We will keep building platforms that empower, not just for today, but for generations to come. We will keep creating workplaces that are inclusive, equitable, and fair. And we will continue to be a voice for those who dare to dream, as I once did.
