Letter from AIME Leadership 6-12-23

Hello AIME Community,

There is a universal belief that the collective voice of many is more powerful than the voice of one alone. This is a core principle that AIME was built upon – that brokers are better together. We also apply that principle to the organizations that we partner with, whether they are wholesale lender partners, vendor service providers, or other associations that align with our mission.

We’re both smart and dynamic, but we remain a young organization. As an up-and-coming group, we understand that we’re learning at every turn – and we’re not too proud to admit that. Our earnest quest for how to improve and what we can learn to better our community is always top of mind – and it will continue to stay that way. Over the past three years, during the tenure of this leadership team, we have laid a strong foundation and belief that in order to truly represent our community, we need to reflect it. Now, it’s time to create alliances that serve the greater good.

In our short history as an association, we have made significant strides. Over the past three years, one of our primary objectives has been to not only establish new relationships with partners and organizations, but also to repair and improve relationships with other trade organizations and advocacy groups for the good of our community. Though these relationships with other organizations are focused on a variety of key points, like legislation, education, and consumer awareness, they all have a common purpose – to amplify our voices.?

We are at a crossroads right now where our aligned missions are better served by joining together in action. Working together as one, we can catapult our priorities of outreach, advocacy, and education in a way that can impact the broker community and the housing industry as a whole. We can’t do this alone – if we want to make immediate progress, we can only accomplish this by aligning our forces together.

Through this collaboration, we will take mighty strides forward in ensuring the dream of homeownership is accessible to everyone.

Recently, we’ve been putting this goal of industry-wide collaboration into practice by enhancing our relationships with other respected groups. We’ve hosted joint fundraisers, partnered together on research papers, collaborated on legislation, cultivated community education resources, and attended events to spread awareness. While each group’s specialized needs may vary, our partnerships allow us to join together to create a platform of resources for members from various backgrounds to find nuanced solutions to achieving homeownership and have their voices heard. Some of the organizations we’ve partnered with at the local and federal levels are:

  • NAHREP (National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals)
  • MBA (Mortgage Bankers Association)
  • NACVSO (National Association of County Veterans Service Officers)
  • NAREB (National Association of Real Estate Brokers)
  • NAR (National Association of REALTORS)
  • VettedVA
  • Polygon Research
  • NDP Analytics

Never before has our organization built such strong, positive relationships with other organizations. The impact we can have together is no small feat – and one that every single person in our community can be part of. While our association’s mission is to continue to build our relationships with other organizations, you, too, can impact and engage in this mission of outreach on an individual level.?

We need each and every one of you to join us in making our organization, our businesses, and our industry stronger together than ever before. Reach out to [email protected] to learn more about membership, partnership, and how you can leverage your voice to represent your community.

We are better together.
