Letter 71: An Open Letter to Everyone in My Network: The Biggest Reset of Professional Life

Letter 71: An Open Letter to Everyone in My Network: The Biggest Reset of Professional Life

At 28 my boss told me - don't dream so big, be humble ( they meant dont go faster than us)

At 32 I was told if you don't learn coding you are dead ( I never learnt it though)

At 35 I was told you need to stop making mistakes ( gosh, someone really said me that)

Every time someone said something like this, I knew that I must push harder.

From 20s to 30s I have grown 10 times and its because of amazing mentors and bosses I have.

They taught me to see the world in a way few saw. And today, I want to make an announcement publicly: 2025 is going to be the biggest era, it has the potential for you to Grow Your Salary 10 Times in 2025: The biggest Reset of 100 years is the Rise of Ai.

Look at this picture below: Its from my session from The Economic Times CIO Conclave

Ai & Current capabilities of professionals

The rise of AI is the biggest reset in 100 years, and it has the potential to help you grow your salary 10 times. The future belongs to those ready to adapt, learn, and lead with the skills this new world demands.

Look at this picture below—it’s from my session at The Economic Times CIO Conclave. That stage was a reminder to me of how far we can go when we embrace change and leverage the opportunities in front of us.

Now, it’s your turn. Don’t let fear or doubt hold you back. Let’s make 2025 the year you achieve the unthinkable.

Here’s to breaking limits and building legacies.

What You Must Do Now to Thrive in the Age of AI

The rise of AI isn’t just a trend—it’s the most transformative shift of our generation. If you want to grow your career, your salary, or even your business, the time to act is now. Here’s how you can embrace this change and position yourself for success:

1. Start with the Basics

You don’t need to become a programmer to leverage AI. Start by understanding what AI is and how it works. Focus on these key concepts:

  • Machine Learning: How AI learns from data to improve over time.
  • Natural Language Processing (NLP): The tech behind tools like ChatGPT.
  • Computer Vision: How AI interprets images and videos.

Recommended platforms:

  • Coursera : Courses like “AI for Everyone” by Andrew Ng are beginner-friendly.
  • edX : Offers foundational courses in AI and machine learning.
  • YouTube : Channels like "Simplilearn" and "AI Explained" break down complex topics into bite-sized lessons.

2. Explore AI Tools and Applications

AI tools are designed to simplify and supercharge your work. Learn to use tools that are relevant to your field:

  • Content Creation: ChatGPT, Jasper AI, MidJourney.
  • Data Analysis: Tableau, Power BI, Google Data Studio.
  • Marketing: SEMrush, HubSpot’s AI features, and ChatGPT plugins.
  • Design: Canva’s AI tools or DALL-E for visual assets. Here is the list I created

3. Develop Problem-Solving Skills

AI can process data, but it’s your creativity and problem-solving that will drive results. Businesses value professionals who can:

  • Identify opportunities where AI can make a difference.
  • Implement AI solutions to save time and cost.
  • Think critically about ethical and practical implications of AI use.

4. Stay Adaptable and Keep Learning

The AI landscape evolves rapidly. To stay ahead:

  • Read: Follow AI news and blogs (like OpenAI, Towards Data Science).
  • Network: Join AI-focused LinkedIn groups or attend webinars and meetups.
  • Practice: Experiment with AI tools in real-life scenarios—create mock projects or integrate them into your workflow.

5. Build Complementary Skills

AI will amplify your potential, but soft skills remain irreplaceable. Focus on:

  • Communication: Learn to explain AI-driven insights in simple terms.
  • Leadership: Guide teams to embrace AI effectively.
  • Emotional Intelligence: AI can’t replicate empathy or human connection—yet.

6. Seek Mentors and Communities

Surround yourself with people who understand the future of work.

  • Join communities like @AI for Beginners or Women in AI.
  • Find mentors in your industry who are leveraging AI effectively.

7. Take Action Now

The biggest barrier to growth is waiting for the “perfect time.” Start today:

  • Dedicate 1-2 hours a week to learning AI.
  • Integrate AI tools into your work gradually.
  • Stay consistent—it’s the compound effect of small efforts that leads to big results.

Final Thought AI isn’t here to replace you—it’s here to elevate you. The question isn’t whether AI will change your industry; it’s how prepared you are to adapt and thrive. The future isn’t waiting. Start your journey now and make 2025 the year you transform your career.

You’ve got this. Let’s grow together!

Aabhinna Suresh Khare Absolutely everything makes sense. I myself using tools to be more effective in my professional life. Power BI, Tableau, etc. But chat GPT is my fav, helps me in learning concepts and is always available in writing my mails, giving me different ideas. I treat it like a friend. Just help me. AI is superb. ??
