This week I am excited to introduce Jamie Edwards . He is dedicated to helping job seekers. We had a great coffee chat and I was so impressed with his passion.

Who are you?
I am a girl dad first and foremost to a beautiful little 2-year-old girl named Olivia and our little family consists of me, my girlfriend, and our daughter. I am the oldest of 5 siblings and my mom raised all of us as a single parent. I went to community college and got my associate's degree. My original plan was to be an Elementary School teacher but after Community College, I realized that school just wasn’t for me and I decided to dive right into the working world.
I enjoy Video Games, Watching WWE on TV, Technology, and going to concerts, music festivals, and sporting events. I started my Career Coaching business after spending the last 12 years hiring and building successful sales and operations teams and spending countless amounts of hours reviewing resumes, interviewing candidates, and building and helping not only my own but others Linkedin Profiles.
Recent Success Story?
A recent success story of mine would have to be that one of the first clients I ever helped when I launched my Jam Sessions with Jamie coaching business messaged me a few weeks ago updating me on his job searching journey and told me he had just landed his dream job working for the Department of Health and Human Services. He thanked me for all the advice helping him craft the perfect resume and being able to interview with confidence using the STAR format. Stories like that make me realize that I am on the right path and this is what I am meant to be doing.
Why are you on LinkedIn??
I am on Linkedin to make new connections and long-lasting relationships on here, to bring as much positivity to others through my family posts and uplifting content, and to be a voice and advocate for jobseekers all over the world and help with removing their green open-to-work banners.

I don’t really have a favorite person I follow. Everyone whom I am connected with and follow has all their own great traits and content and things about them.
Advice you would give someone starting out on LinkedIn or in networking??
Make an introduction post introducing yourself to the platform. Talk about why you are here, what you do, what you want to accomplish, and what we should know about you professionally and personally. Make sure to consistently show up and engage with other's posts and hit the post button yourself every so often so you are visible to others as well.
