Let's wrap up October

We kicked off the month of October with mental health awareness.?

We talk more openly about mental health, menopause and midlife now but it wasn't that long ago that they were only discussed behind closed doors. It doesn't make them easier to navigate but it certainly gives us access to more information.

For dark days and difficult times, we have been gifted Portia Nelson’s wonderful reminder of the healing journey. Autobiography in Five Short Chapters – “There’s a Hole in My Sidewalk.”

IKIGAI – The secret to a long and happy life

Have you tried this?

Connecting to a sense of purpose can be discovered using the Japanese concept of IKIGAI – loosely translates as a reason for being.

Work it out with a Venn diagram and four key questions:

—> What do you love doing?

—> What does the world need?

—> What do you get paid for?

—> What do you do well?

At the centre of the Venn diagram is IKIGAI...
