Let's work on our overthinking.

Before we focus on how to control, we have to understand why we overthink a lot.

Perfectionism- Perfectionists often find themselves overthinking, driven by the desire to always make the right choice and avoid mistakes.

Fear of failure- We usually worry about being judge and making mistakes, this can lead to overthinking.

High Expectation- We usually set a high expectation, in case reality doesn't go with expectation we overthink.


Here are some points which can help you to overcome:-

1: Distract Yourself- You can engage yourself in other activities like playing, exercise, reading, cooking and other hobbies which will break your loop.

2: Aware of your thoughts- You should be aware of your thoughts whenever you feel like overthinking try to focus on your present activity or else can focus on breath so that can help you to break overthinking.

3: Mindfulness Techniques- Mindfulness helps bring your attention back to the present. you can use techniques like deep breathing, meditation, focusing or reading books .

4: Talk to Someone- In this situation person/ friend should talk to someone you can listen to their thoughts, communication can help to control negative thoughts and can calm your mind.

5: Healthy Routine- Healthy lifestyle can lead to good physical & mental health as well, Do regular exercise/ Physical activities, sleep on time and take care of your diet.
