Best Of Scotland Holidays and the Travel Trade

Best of Scotland Holidays offer an extensive range of services to the travel trade and operate as an incoming tour operator and destination management company. As a family-owned company with experience in the travel industry for 40 years, we have vast expertise in planning leisure and golfing packages across Scotland, Wales, England, and Ireland both to the travel trade and direct to clients.

We partner with the travel trade, including travel agents, MICE, tour operators, wholesales and frequent independent travellers. We take the pain of planning away.

Benefits of Working with a DMC

Destination Management Companies are the local experts. Best of Scotland Holidays are constantly immersed in the local environment, meaning they will have the knowledge and expertise in the areas where travel agents for example would not. There’s never a problem we can’t resolve due to having operated across the UK for 40 years.

The benefit of working with a DMC when booking a trip is every aspect is handled under one roof. Accommodation, transport, meet and greets, excursions, tickets and passes for any attractions, escorted tours, the list goes on. At Best of Scotland Holidays, everything is customisable and can be completely tailored to meet client needs and budgets. The peace of mind that comes with having one point of contact who handles everything saves a lot of time and stress for both the agent and the traveller.

As a result of organising all aspects of a trip, we have strong relationships with lots of local suppliers which means we are more likely to get better prices, flexibility and on-site assistance should anything go wrong. Best of Scotland Holidays are specialists in golfing holidays so have especially good relationships with golf resorts all over the country.

Things very rarely go wrong but as with many things in recent times travel plans don’t always go exactly to plan. Sometimes luggage can be lost and flights delayed, however, having a DMC like Best of Scotland Holidays to help means you’ll never be left on your own. We will offer solutions, whether it’s amending dates or booking new hotels. It’s all part of our duty of care to the client.

Our team celebrating 40 years of Best of Scotland Holidays

The four decades have not been without their challenges, but we have weathered the storms; nine prime ministers, three UK recessions and a global pandemic later, the company is thriving. From its infancy with a small team of part-time staff, it has grown into a globally respected DMC with a dedicated team of travel specialists.

To mark this milestone anniversary, we have commissioned a unique tartan commemorating the 40-year achievement. The tartan incorporates the navy, green and white corporate colours to create an elegant nod to our Scottish roots on our Ruby Anniversary. The tartan will be called 'Best of Scotland Holidays' with the accompanying description 'We have designed this tartan to celebrate 40 years in business. It incorporates our brand colours; the green of the trees and mountains, and blue for the sky and seas around our island destination.'

VisitBritain: ExploreGB 2023

Best of Scotland Holidays are delighted to have attended VisitBritain’s flagship travel trade event, ExploreGB. This year the event remained virtual with more than 200 global buyers and 300 tourism industry suppliers attending to connect from destinations all over the UK to strike up business conversations.

For our team, it was great to catch up with existing overseas clients and meet new buyers. We want to thank everyone who took the time to talk to us and can’t wait to see where these connections lead.
