LET'S TALK ABOUT STRESS

Earlier this week, my brand-new?WHOOP?4.0 told me that my strain on my body throughout the day was equivalent to a low-impact workout. In other words, my stress was riding high. It should stay at 5.9 or below for a rest day without a workout.
It was a rough day. I’ve been a solo parent this week, my kids were acting out, my neurodiverse son got kicked out of gymnastics for purposely kicking the feet out from under a girl in his class because he “felt like it”, I’m beginning the journey of aging parent responsibilities and cancer prognoses for them, and I had a more-than-normal amount of client hours, which are wonderful and energizing in the moment, but do require recovery.
Normally, I would have made it work and forced my way through.
But seeing the data showing me the strain my body was going through made me comfortable opening up.
Here's my quick overview of what helped me de-stress this week:
Talk to your teams. Talk to your leaders. Open up with clarity. It will build trust and transparent communication.
How do you deal with stress? ????
