WHY TALK ABOUT SELF-ESTEEM?
Let's talk about the very important aspect of our personality. Self-esteem.
Our self-esteem affects every aspect of our lives, whether it is our personal lives or it is our professional lives. It impacts our level of confidence, our relationships with others, our professional careers, our inner peace and happiness, and the ultimate success that we want to achieve in our lives.
PEOPLE WITH LOW SELF-ESTEEM
People who have low self-esteem are prone to be unhappy. Further, they will make wrong decisions in their lives. Their motivation level and performance level will also be very low. There is very little chance of these people achieving success in their lives.
To be happy, these people need other people's opinions. They value the opinions of other people so much that their happiness depends on them. They feel that circumstances are wrong for them and they are the victims of their circumstances.
Usually, these people are hard on themselves and often take the criticism of other people personally. Low self-esteem can cause anxiety, depression, and insomnia.
PEOPLE WITH HIGH SELF-ESTEEM
On the other hand, people with high self-esteem are very much confident in themselves. They don't feel guilty for their own mistakes, rather they learn from them and move on. They live with an open mind and always try new ways to learn. They know their self-worth, even when they face criticism in life.
They always live with a positive attitude towards life. These people never feel uncomfortable admitting their mistakes, weaknesses, and vulnerabilities. They live entirely in the present, unlike other people who always keep on worrying about the future or regretting past mistakes.
If you have healthy self-esteem, you will always be happy with yourself. You will always believe that you deserve all the good things in the universe.
WHY WE DEVELOP LOW SELF-ESTEEM?
Most of us have faced many negative statements during our childhood and youth. Those negative statements have developed limiting beliefs and these limiting beliefs are rooted deep in our subconscious mind.
We often blame our parents or teachers or everybody else for our low self-esteem. Well, it is of no use. By just blaming we can't overcome the problem of low self-esteem.

We have to take the full responsibility of rewriting our story. No matter what had happened in the past, we are still and very much capable of rewriting our story. If we start changing our opinions, we can build healthy self-esteem.
Just start changing the opinions that you have about yourself. For that, you have to just modify the beliefs that you have about yourself, your life, and your abilities.
Get rid of those damaging beliefs like " I am useless", "I can't achieve anything in life", "I am not talented at all", "I am not good enough", and "In my life, only bad things happen" etc.
SELF ACCEPTANCE
Accept yourself the way you are! Love yourself and be your own best friend. Never try to become perfect according to the world. Rather accept your flaws and say to yourself "I am okay and perfect with having some flaws in me". Nobody is perfect in this world. Every human being in this world has some or the other flaws.
But nobody accepts those flaws. Because we are given the definition of Being PERFECT by the world. And we always try to live with definition.
Self-acceptance is the key to higher self-esteem. Imagine you are carrying the load of the expectations of the people. You will always feel low in confidence. Instead, if you accept yourself the way you are, you will be more confident and happier.
CONCLUSION
To Conclude, I can say that self-esteem is an extremely important part of our lives. People with high self-esteem have higher self-confidence, better social relationships, better work relationships, and they live in peace.
On the other hand, people with low self-esteem have low self-confidence, and they live with self-doubt throughout their lives. They are never happy with their lives.
We often develop lower self-esteem because of the negative saying of the world around us. Somewhere in our subconscious mind, the negative saying gets deeply routed. But we can change this by just changing our Beliefs and our thoughts. Always think good about yourself and accept yourself the way you are.
To increase self-esteem, the best two tools are self-acceptance and self-love.
