Happy Wednesday everyone, I hope you’ve had a lovely week so far!
How have you been? I hope you had a lovely long weekend and got to enjoy some sun! ??
Today we’re talking about a fantastic pop-up experience, the reality of being a creator and curating your feed!
Let’s get started!!??
Today’s campaign is a great example of creating a meaningful experience for your customers.
Jellycat Fish & Chips has opened up in Selfridges, London until the end of the year!
The much-loved London brand is all about creativity, and they’ve really channelled that for this launch.
It’s no wonder everyone loves Jellycat!??
What do you think?
I’m excited to welcome today’s guest, meet Ivan Ssen . He is sharing his advice and journey as a creator!
“I have always wanted to be a creator
The late nights The computer life And the fact that you can work on stuff that you passionate about
Fascinated me
Jan 2022, I decided to chase my dreams
The creator lifestyle
After being exposed to creators like Iman Gadzhi and Gary Vee, I thought this was possible
I thought all I needed was to load up my wifi, post content and money will fly to me
But, it was never the case.
It has actually not been the case.
I thought that maybe I lacked the right information
So I ended up buying courses
But nothing serious happened.
I didn't anticipate that with all this hardwork there will be such a delay in getting results
And to make matters worse I was seeing more people flexing cash and showing how they are making money online
And yet a hardworking mule like me, wasn't
I always asked myself "What is it that am not doing that others are?"
But the answer never seemed to cross my mind
I felt like giving up on this dream of becoming a creator...........
I actually did on several occasions
But there was always something that pulled me back
And it's of recent that I realized that it's the love for more knowledge and wanting to be a creator that was my mistake
The love to create The love for results And the love to win
All hindered my success

As creators, we often drown in our creations
We often believe that our art is bound to be liked by other people
Because we put in alot of work in it We think that when other people see it they will appreciate
But this is not the case
It's the feeling of not achieving that keeps most of us broke, depressed and demotivated to create
If you feel like whatever you doing isn't bringing results don't worry
You ain't alone
Most creators feel the same way
I have been in that situation for 2 damn years.
Rebranding every now and then
Thinking that maybe it's me
But it was never me, and it's never you
Yes I know it's hard to have the right mindset.
Especially since we social creatures
But, you have to know that you can't control everything
Focus on the things you can control and ditch those that you can't
Your past experiences can't dictate your future
(I have learnt this the hard way) Pick one channel Pick one problem Pick one solution Pick one audience”
This perspective is so refreshing to see on LinkedIn when people are predominantly speaking about their successes. There are people who will exaggerate, making you feel bad if you aren’t achieving the same results.
We’re all on our own journey and it helps to remember that sometimes!
Leading on from Ivan’s words of wisdom today’s advice is to curate your feed??
Take a look through your feed, muting or unfollowing anyone whose content doesn’t make you feel good.
It’s so important to take control of your experience on social media and make it a positive place for you!
Leave your recommendations of your favourite creators in the comments and I’ll take a look??
Today I want you to share one thing that you love about your job.
Maybe it’s working with incredible clients?
Or being part of a lovely team.
I want to know what your favourite part is!
I look forward to reading these, please use #DiaryOfAYoungMarketer so I can come and show your post some support.
Have a lovely rest of the day??
Speak soon!
