HEADLINES:

News: (Newsweek) Top 10 Issues Ahead of Midterm Elections, From Inflation to Abortion: ?The top ten are inflation, crime, elections and voting, jobs and unemployment, immigration, transportation and energy infrastructure, abortion, racial inequality, gun control, and climate change.

Many of these are on my mind. Especially the top two of Inflation and Crime.

What are your top concerns this election cycle?

Sports: (SkySports) Qatar World Cup: Calls for FIFA to contribute to compensation scheme for workers in host country receive strong support.

I find it sad that the workers who built the stadiums in Qatar were mistreated and worked in unsafe conditions. As a lifelong soccer fan, it is just weird to have a World Cup in Nov/Dec. It pauses the major leagues in the world and might impact the players. I won’t even comment on why Qatar is hosting the World Cup.

What are your thoughts??Who will win it all?

TRANSITION:

When you finally connect and speak with a recruiter, form a great relationship?and leverage that as you move to your interviews. Recruiters often have the best “insider” gouge on how best to interview with the hiring manager and team. Regardless of outcomes, stay connected and be positive. That recruiter may come back to you sooner than you think.

What are your thoughts? Do you have any positive or negative recruiter experiences. Please share.??

Joe Wallis, on the World Cup, no of it makes sense to fans and not fans. There were corruptions scandals to win the bid, there were also many human rights violations to build facilities. I will be watching it, but with little motivation. I already know Brazil and Argentina won't win it :(.

Joe, I am interested to see and hear how this engages with the MSSA program.
